Totally Rested!

I slept over eight hours last night! And that's something you won't hear outta me everyday. No sir! I was excited to wake feeling so refreshed. The only downside was that half the morning was already gone. It was 855am. More often than not, I've already taken care of business by 9am (exercise, walk Sparky, coffee, email, and run). Not today. I took a leisurely approach to my morning and early afternoon. I applied no pressure on myself to achieve this or that. Instead, I drank a cup of coffee, then more coffee, and then even more coffee. After my run I locked down my plans to pick-up Kaileigh at Rosemary's, my ex mother-in-law. Before heading to get her, I gave my baby a bath. No, not Mindy, my BM'er! I took a little extra time to vacuum her real nice and left one hell of a shine behind! And sure, there were some other things I would've liked to have completed but spending time with Kaileigh was paramount. The lawn can wait, and so can all the other little projects running around endlessly in my little brain. It wasn't long before I was on my way to pick-up Kaileigh. I arrived at Rosemary's right on time - 2pm. They were waiting out front on the driveway for me, both with ear to ear smiles! Rosemary never really says, but I think Al, my father-in-law, is so disgruntled with me that he'd prefer I didn't even enter the house, so that's why their often wating outside. I could be wrong. Anyway, I don't push the issue. Sadly, though, I still love both of them dearly. They were never anything but good to me and I'll never forget them for it. They are exceptionally good with and for Kaileigh. I took a few pics then was on my way, Kaileigh and I. We played the "name that state" game and the "name any word" alphabet game on the way back to my house. It was fun. I won everytime! I'm kidding!!!! :) Once back at my home, Kaileigh was true to form. She went right for her doll babies and then for my DVD's. I really wish that she would get interested in reading or anything but watching DVD's. She's an addict. I know i need to use a bit more of a psychological edge to steer her away but as infrequent as I have her, I don't want to make waves. One thing I like is that she has her own guitar here and she always goes for it too. And believe it or not, she's getting better on her own. Today she asked me to play along with her. Hmmm? Maybe she'll get the hang of this. We watched "50 First Dates" (she loves that movie). When it was over we went to the neighborhood park. There we swang, climbed, ran, and talked. She's such a smart little thing. Too smart, in fact!!! After we finished playing, we went back to my house and took Sparky on a walk. Kaileigh insisted on managing the leash. She did pretty good except for her Hitler like command stlye. Poor Sparky barely could get a leg up before she'd be tugging on the leash with brut force. I couldn't help but think how bad that must feel to be peeing and have some one jerking you away by the neck. Think about it! After our walk I asked if she wanted dinner, or to read. Nope - she wanted to watch yet another movie. We did. We watched "Shallow Hal". And after Shallow Hal we watched Square Bob, Sponge pants. By then, I'd had all the movie watching I could take. It was also time to take Kaileigh home. I had arranged to take her to Joey's mom's at 8pm. I had also planned to go see my sweetie, Mindy sometime after 8pm, so it worked out swimmingly. I dropped Kaileigh at her grandmothers in Hilliard and headed over to Mindy's for a while. Her doggies were so, so happy to see me. I think they love me!!! Yeah - that's why they bark at me like the water meter reader. :) I stayed for just a couple of hours and then headed home around 1045pm best guess. I was tired. I ate some food and went to bed. It was a great weekend! Oh, I almost forgot. The Vikings won 80 - 0 over the Falcons - yeah, and pigs can fly!!!!! Actually, they got slaughtered - again. 30-10. What is the matter?
