Blue Tuesday
Wow! I woke up at 530am this morning-finally! I woke feeling rested and ready to tackle the world. The morning sky was star filled and provided a breath taking view into the depths of heaven. When I see a sky like that I am in such awe. I have to marvel at God's creation. I proceded with my morning routine like any other day. I exercised, walked Sparky, meditated, packed my lunch, and made my breakfast. With the weather predicted to be in the mid 80's and sunny, I was a little blue knowing that I needed to be in the office on perhaps one of the last summery days of the year. But, too, I knew that I couldn't dwell on it and let it get me down. After all, I have so much to be thankful for and I try to never ever forget that!
I had a team meeting planned for the morning so I needed to ensure that everything was in order for that to happen without incident. In a work environment such as ours, it can be challenging to pull off such a feat. We pulled it off but not without a few bumps. The plan for the rest of my day called for an early run so that I could escape the confines of the office for an hour or so to finally address the title transfer of my new boat. I did. I ran at about 1130am and was headed for the title agency by 1220pm. To my surprise, the title agency located in Great Western wasn't that bad at all. Certainly not as horrific as the license bureau that once resided nearby (it has relocated to Westland Mall). I was helped immediately and there were no surprises. One down but a few more steps to go.
I was back at the office sometime around 130pm. The afternoon went as most afternoons and without any significant issues. My plan was to hurry home and get crackin' on my weekly lawn chores. As the sun makes its way south, the evening sunlight is becoming shorter and shorter. No longer do I have the luxury of a slow leisurely approach if I have any hope of completing my lawn work after work hours. I finished with surprising efficiency, not really hurrying, by 705pm. As usual I retreated ot the shower to wash away the bits of my lawn that are ever attracted to my good looks! :)
I had acouple voice mails that came in while doing my lawn work. One was John Vereb. I called him back knowing that he would be wanting an update on my plans for the Steve Weese annual golf outing. I informed John that I had placed the entry fee check in the mail that morning. Next, I called my sweetie, Mindy. I wouldn't see her tonight (bummer!). Hey, if you can't see em' or hold em' you call em'! :)
Before going to bed I played a little guitar.
