It was a Monday, a day like any other day…

It was a very “moony” morning. I don’t know that the moon could be any brighter. The trade off seemed to be the air temp. It was down right cold! It wasn’t a surprise though. Heck, Sunday was freezing like a late November day. I woke up considerably later than I would have preferred, but since I didn’t get to bed until after midnight, I wasn’t too surprised that I overslept. I resigned myself to the fact that I would once again be late for work choosing not to slack on my morning routine. And because I was late and the air temps a bit chilly, I didn’t even consider dubbing it a BM’er day despite the promising forecast. As luck would have it, I needed to stop for gas on my way to work. This was the first time that I have ever spent more that $50 dollars filling my tank, but I was on empty. To make matters worse, the pump didn’t shut off automatically when the tank was full wither. Instead, it just began gushing out all over the ground and splashing onto my pant leg and shoes. I wasn’t too happy! I figure I put about $1 on the ground. Onward, though. Can’t cry over spilt…gas! Work was fairly atypical for a Monday. We had some system issues that put a crimp in our normal daily routines but somehow we managed as we always seem to do. I managed to get out for my run at the usual 1215pm. Needless to say, it was perfect, too! It was about 60 degrees and completely sunny! I could’ve run forever. My afternoon went pretty quickly. Before heading home I needed to make a stop at Kroger to pick-up some fruit & veggies that I would normally get over the weekend. Despite the pit stop, I was home by 540pm. Monday is generally a Mindy evening and this one was no exception. Before she arrived, I walked Sparky, and began my normal evening routine. She arrived before I could finish. She looked tremendous tonight! Admittedly, though, I am a little tense when I get home from work and have always been that way. I require at least a half and hour to decompress – to get in a different (better) frame of mind. It’s a character flaw. Once I finished my few chores we talked for about half an hour and then made something to eat. I made my now famous tortilla pizzas. They are really tasty! Mindy only has a couple of hours to share on Monday’s and it went pretty fast. She was gone by 830pm. I spent the next hour updating a couple of day’s worth of blog material. Talked on the phone for a bout half and hour before falling asleep. This was the earliest I have been sawing logs in a while. Out by 1030pm! Song of the Day: Foreigner, Long, Long Way From Home It was a monday A day like any other day I left a small townFor the apple in decay It was my destiny It’s what we needed to do They were telling meI’m telling you I was inside looking outside The millions of faces But still I’m alone Waiting, hours of waiting Paying a penance I was longing for home I’m looking out for the two of us I hope we’ll be here when they’re through with us I was inside looking outside Oh the millions of faces But still I’m aloneWaiting, hours of waiting I could feel the tension I was longing for home I’m looking out for the two of us And I hope we’ll be here when they’re through with us I’m coming home Monday, sad, sad monday She’s waiting for me But I’m a long, long way from home Sad, sad monday She’s waiting for me But I’m a long, long way from home Sad, sad monday Oh she’s waiting for me But I’m a long, long way from home
