...Rattle Your Teeth Busy
Not me, by the way.
Late Monday evening the sky began clearing giving a ‘clear’ indication that there were blue skies ahead. And when I woke Tuesday morning, I wasn’t disappointed. I felt really good and had lots of excess energy to carry me through not only my morning routine, but also my entire day. There’s little doubt that I get an extra boost of energy from happy weather.
While Ykraps and I enjoyed our leisurely early spring walk the dark morning sky was filled with songs sang by a plethora of birds amongst all the trees – a sure indication that a better day was ahead. My morning coffee was sweet and went down well, and my meditation was very relaxing.
I made my usual lunch and then my breakfast, but only needed to warm my eggs since I still had a significant amount leftover from Sunday’s egg fest. By 7:05am I was showering away the dead skin cells that had built up since my last shower, yesterday afternoon. Ready by 7:30am I had plenty of time to strum a few chords before hitting the door.
I talked with Mindy during my travels to work and pretty much sold her on the idea that I’d likely be staying home this evening paying bills and catching up on some miscellaneous chores and such. She had some dangling issues to deal with too.
Work – what more can I say? We were rattle your teeth busy! I pushed through my morning but taking care not to get too stressed. That never does any good. Come 1:00pm or so, I took off for the gym. The weather by then was pretty nice save for the pesky wind blowing out of the west/northwest. Once again, the winds were gusty at upwards off 35 mph, which if you’re not on top of your game can be stifling. Still, the sun was shining and the temperature was near the afternoon high of 54 degrees. I took solace in the fact that the stiff wind was at my back on the return making that phase of the run easy as pie!
The afternoon ended somewhat gracefully and I actually left the office on time. I was home by 5:30pm which hasn’t been happening much lately. Mindy and I talked and shared our individual stay at home plans. After walking Ykraps, I fertilized the yard with a 15,000 sq ft bag of Scotts with Halts. After which, I did some additional surveying of the lawn and identified some spots that might need some attention in the coming weeks. When done, I returned indoors to pay a few bills, clean my tile floor, and practice guitar. My guitar practice was for over an hour. I actually composed my very first tune! I t was fun!
In addition to everything else, I took an hour to post a few updates in my blog which I had already written, but failed to post. Before going to bed I grabbed some water and my book and got comfy in my bed.
