Here Comes the Weekend

Another beautiful day on tap. I woke a little late by design. I jumped out of bed at 5:50am after talking myself into sleeping a while longer. No worries. It felt good and by no means was that gonna make me late. Coffee was brewing and I could smell it. Ykraps was already by the front door. This is the time that we’re normally headed out. What he doesn’t understand is that my needs come first. I first have to vitamin, exercise, and scratch. :) It wasn’t long, however, before he and I were on our way out for our morning stroll. Immediately I noticed the moon beginning to set on the western horizon. It was a dark yellow and absolutely beautiful. I wish I would’ve been set up for taking a picture, but to do it any justice one would’ve needed a tripod. I didn’t have that time to spend. Instead I simply appreciated the view. Our walk was nothing but pleasurable. Once back at 3683 we coffee’d and then I took to my meditation. Then, after sending Mindy a good morning email, I began prepping my lunch and breakfast. By the time I was done eating my breakfast it was 7:15am – time for a shower. This would’ve been the perfect BM’er day as it was almost cloudless and the predicted high was 77 degrees. Again, though, I opted not. I just wasn’t in the mood. Nonetheless, I enjoyed the drive in. It was almost summer like. Already temperatures were well into the 60’s and it wasn’t even 8am. Work was once again humbling. We were operating at ‘normal’ capacity. In a morbid kind of way, it is fun like this. No time for wandering minds or worrying. Come 11am I thought it wise to get my run in since it looked like the day’s pace would only quicken. What a wise choice that was. Not only was it wise from a work stand point, but it was also wise from a weather perspective. I t was sunny and 74 And today marked the first no-shirt running day of the year. Since I haven’t been tanning, this is the first sunshine my bare back, shoulders, and tummy have seen. It felt great! I returned to work refreshed and ready for a busy afternoon. I wasn’t disappointed either. I kept it up until 5:15pm when I decided to head home. I took my laptop home so that I could login and work a little form home later tonight. I arrived home around 5:35pm and talked to Mindy along the way. She was having her friends Scott and Teri over for a cookout. I was invited but instead opted for a quiet evening at home preparing for the weekend by knocking out many chores and simply relaxing. During this time I accomplished much. I managed to transplant my new armoire’ ivy plant, do two loads of laundry, back up March pics to CD (about 400), catch up on my blog complete with pics, practice guitar, and read. I spoke again with Mindy just before 10pm. Her company was now gone and she was finishing the clean-up. She said they had a great time eating and baking cookies. I was still intent on being in bed by 10pm. At 1005pm we said good night. I headed directly to bed with water and book. After only about two more pages I was down for the count.
