Shoveling Snow Again

Up at 530am Again, cold and snowy Cold symptoms persist – throat and sinuses, wondering if this thing will end without the aide of antibiotics Exercise, walk Ykraps, (he doesn’t poop – hasn’t for a couple of days) Meditate, stretch – all good stuff Run four miles – excellent run – again a soft cushion of snow to run on Fried eggs – me & Ykraps - doctor his eggs with meds Mindy to work, the kids to school – me off to work Work crazy busy once again I call vet to discuss Ykraps’ prognosis He agrees that putting him under is not a viable option given his extended age – 12.5yrs After our discussion he believes it most likely laryngeal paralysis – essentially the muscles in the throat stop working (opening and closing) properly. Agree that meds are best treatment, especially if they’re working now, which they seem to be. No lunch – work straight thru Mindy reminds me this is a Jimaken night I share my desire to stay at home – not go out to dinner Drive home – arrive around 600pm Walk Ykraps – cold Mindy warms leftover steak and baked potatoes Steak is delicious – we share some with Ykraps who gobbles it up After dinner I retire to the sofa. Kids home at 8:05pm I fall asleep on sofa – down for the count
