Aspen Ski & Board

Up late – 6:05am Oops! I was tired Struggled to get through calisthenics but did Delivered Mindy’s coffee before walking Ykraps to keep her on schedule More fresh snow – about 2 inches Cut PC time short – mediation and stretching – good stuff Dressed for run – ran only three miles due to time crunch Soft, fluffy snow – nice! Back for my run by 730am – cutting it close for Mindy’s departure Eggs ready – I put Ykraps’ pill in his Off to the shower at 740am Kids to the bus at 758am – start Trooper to warm and clear snow Roads clear – arrive to work at 830am. Another busy day – a few meetings that eat most of my day – lots of changes No lunch Receive call from Pilot delivery scheduling delivery of new Thule cargo carrier for Thursday afternoon – skiing is expensive sport. Mindy and I discuss evening plans mid-afternoon Taking kids to Aspen Ski & Board to outfit with season-long rentals – dinner after I arrive home at 540pm after leaving a little early (520pm) After walking Ykraps we prepare and depart I-270N at a crawl from Tuttle until Sawmill Arrive at Aspen Ski & Board around 640pm Run into Matt, the kid that sold Mindy & I our skies last Feb. He takes care of us again. Sizes and fits Jacob and Bella – takes a while to size then outfit and adjust. We browse during the ordeal. We buy about a $100 worth of accessories including new goggles for Mindy, hand warmers, and new gaiters. Mindy got me a neck wallet too. It’ll save us money and time having season long rentals for the kids. Not due back until April. Good deal! We left ASBCO looking for a good place to dine. Tons of options near Polaris. We couldn’t decide. Ultimately decided on Barley’s  Arrive at 8:05pm Calvin and Rick sitting together at bar. No other bar patrons at the time. Janet working. I order Centennial IPA. Everyone else soft drinks or water. Food orders: me a Cuban, Jacob Gates of Hell wings, Bella KC wings, Mindy, salad and something else- not sure. Passively watch Buckeye basketball game on one of the flat panels Food good. Jacob slips one of his Gates of Hell wings into Bella’s pile. I go along. Tries to get her to eat it. She doesn’t eat it. She’s done after two of her own. She’s always good for a pile of leftovers. I picked up the check - $50 + tip. Home by 915pm. Mindy insists the kids need showers but eventually allows them to skip Kids in bed by 940pm. I fall asleep on the sofa.
