Seeing Dr Julie

After a reasonably sound 7.5 hours of sleep I was up and raring to go by 6am. Gone were the storms from Sunday afternoon and evening. In their place were clear skies and warm temps. I exercised and then dealt with Frankie. She was quick to finish her business. After coffee, mediation, and stretching I was off on my run. It was just before 7am. Like most days, I ran four miles with little trouble. Back at home around 730am I quickly prepared my breakfast and packed a lunch. I was off to the shower just after 8am with coffee and Frankie in tow for Mindy. Mindy got up and out of bed to see me off to work. In some respects, it didn't feel much like a Monday after spending the weekend on-call. I arrived at work around 845am. I was busy all morning long. I had my final LASIK follow-up eye exam scheduled for 145pm - I left the office at 115pm to make it there Dr Julie looked terrific, especially after just having a baby 7 weeks ago. Showed me some proud momma pics. Eyes were slightly better than last visit – almost perfect – ever so slightly near sighted but not enough for a prescription. Should consider reading glasses (1.0 – 1.25) down the road. I’ve noted much less dryness since vacation. Talked about my pterygium and any new options. She put the dreaded yellow dye in my eyes to check pressure. I hate that! Scheduled next visit for March 2011. I used drops to rinse the yellow dye out before pulling away. Back at the office, I ate my packed lunch while working. The afternoon went by quickly. Soon 530pm was here. Headed home. Mindy was busy putting the finishing touches on dinner, grilled beef kabobs. They looked delicious but lacked flavor and the steak was tough. I suggested we had them before and they were much better. Mindy insisted that the earlier batch was from the Anderson’s. Note to self. After dinner Mindy and Jacob were busy fooling around with the kids’ laptop. Wouldn’t boot up fully. Mindy volunteered that it had been like that for a while. I asked to take a look. Three hours later I gave up. Planned to take it to work with me Tuesday and contact the HP helpdesk after verifying that it was still under warranty. Exhausted and frustrated, I headed to bed around 1030pm.
