Home Coming

Saturday July 3rd - Time to head home! As designed, I was up at 6am after several time checks start coffee - complete push-ups - head out for my last beach run at 630am Cloudy start once again 81 degrees 97% humidity Stop at the turn around point and meditate for a few minutes staring blankly out to sea Come upon Kenny walking back to the condo from the surf Agree on 8am departure time - he'll take my golf clubs to free up room in our smaller SUV Wake Mindy with coffee at 7am as requested - she showers almost immediately Me next - wake kids for home - everyone excited to head home and see Frankie Last minute packing - leaving lots of food/drink behind - someone will be quite happy with their bounty Pull out at 801am Stop for gas at BP just before gulf-to-bay causeway - about $16 - must return with full tank or pay $7.99 per gallon Thrifty airport check-in - no hassle To terminal through security and then at gate C34 by 915am Decide to have breakfast at Chili's my treat board plane at 1035am - I sit with Makayla and Bella- play 1000 questions while I try to read and nap - comical Quick flight home - CMH weather said to be clear, sunny, and 80 - a welcome return Land 15 minutes early - 1pm Surprised to find dad waiting outside of security - there to help with luggage Head home - tell stories about trip Dad doesn't stay long - Call Glenn who's still at dad's place invite him over for fun-beer - saysa 30 minutes or so We pile in Honda drive to Dena's to fetch Frankie Everyone excited - Frankie happy to see all of us Dena says fun, interesting experience but doesn't want a dog Home for afternoon - Start unpacking process - goes smoothly Glenn arrives shortly after we return with Frankie Drink a few beers plan afternoon/evening Invite Imber's, Shultz's, Gardner's, Dad, Tommy, etc.. Mindy & I go after 4 growlers of Barley beer Beth bartending - drink an IPA while there - 4 growlers: Centennial, Scottish, Pale, and Pint-of-Joe Stop at Circle-K before home for ice, chips, and milk Imber's call - can't make it - M.A early work hours - everyone else is in Party on deck - hot steamy - Order pizza around 7pm from Sparano's - 4 large pies Shultz's, Gardner's, Dad Tommy & Wally hang out until 10pm - mosquitoes biting - ouch/itch! I briefly fall asleep on the sofa Everyone departs Mindy and I to bed around midnight
