Up at 545am – better, but still not as early as I wanted Clear and warm – 70 degrees Exercise, coffee, Frankie Meditate, stretch, run Make breakfast, pack lunch – the usual: veggies, tuna, yogurt, banana Shower – pack shorts and ballcap for golf. Arrive to work at 845am – busy early morning Staff meeting at 10am – work straight through hoping to leave early for golf Day gets busy. Bob I. emails asking for confirmation of golf plans. I respond but can’t promise that I can get away. Bob B. responds that he’d prefer Thursday – easier to get off at Split Rock. As 330pm approaches I share that I won’t be able to make it. Too busy. Bob suggests we golf Thursday, but I share plans to take kids and G-kids to zoo. Call Mindy to advise that I won’t be golfing after all. She asks if I we plan on golfing tomorrow (Thursday). I remind her about our zoo plans. She then shares that she and the kids are currently at the zoo with her pal Teri. Great! I wasn’t pleased with that news. Sent the Bob’s an email indicating that I should be able to golf Thursday afternoon after all. Boss cuts out early. I won’t see him again until August 2nd. He’s leaving for St Marteen’s on Saturday, and I’m off until Monday. At work until 545pm catching up on several administrative tasks Home just after 6pm. Kids gone to dinner with Jimaken. Mindy and I discuss options, including going to Barley’s, but ultimately decide to stay home and relax. Feels good knowing I have the next four days off work. Spent an hour or more reading. Kids home at 830pm. Jacob wants to watch a movie. We agree to watch Dumb and Dumber (Jim Carey). I sip a beer, a Racer 5 IPA. To bed after the movie – 1030pm.
