Emergency Room Vacation

Finally Friday! Exercise, walk Ykraps, run early. Beautiful sunny summer morning Drove Trooper to work because I had to return the power washer Ken let me borrow Very busy - really! A VM from Dad- scared the begeesies out of me! Couldn't return call without mental prep - what possible bad news was looming on the other end? Called Tommy instead. He knew of nothing. Mustered strength to return the call. Dad soundly like in severe pain tells me that he can not be counted on to watch Sparky, flowers nad house, and will not be able to drive to airport tomorrow. Can't walk or move. Needs to go to the hospital. I told him to get his little ass in gear and plan on being over tomorrow to shuttle my ass around anyhow! NOT REALLY! I told him not to worry. That I'd figure something out, and that I'd leave work and take him to the hospital if necessary. He didn't feel necessary. more work, lunch with Jill Roberts at PF Changs Dad calls as I head back to work and says he needs to go to the hospital. I tell him no problem and that I'll be right there. I rush into the office inform my bosses boss (mine is out- his father had a stroke). Pack, leave for Dad's. Dad calls and says he can't wait and has already called 911. I tell him that I'll meet him at the hospital. Drop laptop home - go by dad's - he's not there as expected. to hospital Find dad all hunched over in a wheel chair in the hospital emergency room - he looked pathetic and helpless! Scary thought! Not my big strong Dad! Nurse screams "Glenn Wright"! Triage, Triage, Triage. ten minutes later he's taken back to be examined. I follow. Nurse Courtney examines him. pushes and prods all his parts. Believes it to be Cyatica, a buldging disc, or some other joint issue and perhaps aggravated by his ongoing arthritus. Soon Sheila and Margie arrive. They had just completed a 15 hr work day and looked like it - very tired. 5:15pm - Releasing dad with narcotic prescription for pain. I drive home. Ashley, Mindy arrive. Ashley will be house sitting. I review plant care instructions and such. She leaves soon after. Mindy and I go to Barley's. Hang with Bob and Mary Ann as well as others. We had fun. They are a really good time. mary Ann just bought a new Ford Escape. It's red & grey with leather interior - nice! Home - 11-ish ??? not certain :) no worries
