Xmas Choppin' ... buying stock in Target

It was Monday and the start of a new week. Once again, I had Monday & Tuesday scheduled as vacation days. However, unlike last Monday, I had big plans for later today. I planned to take care of some Xmas shopping. But before any of that I had to complete my personal fitness routine and then pickup Lil’ Rocky from school. 

I got out of bed around 6:20am, or as soon as Mindy started her shower. I completed my exercises and walked Ykraps before any of the kids were up. I pretty much followed the same blue print I used last Monday & Tuesday relative to my early morning routine. First, I helped Mindy get the kids ready for school and the sitter. Then, I got Jacob on the bus and completed my run. Lastly, I fetched Rocky from school and dropped him conveniently at Grandma Sharon’s. That entire routine took until 11:30am. It was essentially lunchtime by the time I was free. 

After dropping Rocky I headed off on my shopping spree. My first stop was Michael’s Crafts next door to the Hilliard Target. There I checked out easels, paints, and canvas. I really want to pick-up painting again. There’s lots of art bouncing around in my brain that’s just dying to be expressed on canvas. I checked out picture frames, too. 

After Michael’s it was onto Target. There I bought a couple more polos for Rocky that will serve as uniform shirts. In addition, I bought him a pair of snow boots. For Jacob & Bella I picked up two gifts, Wii Ski game & the Kung Fu Panda DVD. I bought two new 100-count white light sets for our Xmas tree. Mindy likes to have white lights spiraling down the tree’s trunk. 

After Target I ventured north to the Dublin Wal-Mart and then the Tuttle Mall Macy’s. I took care of my daughters there. I decided to scope out the mall Santa thing, and hoped to get a picture. Sadly, he was on break. According to the clock sign, he was late! Oh well! After leaving Tuttle I ventured over to the Dublin/Frantz Rd  Kroger. There I bought a ham for our work holiday potluck and a 6-pack of Columbus Brewing Company’s Winter Warmer.

 I still wasn’t done shopping. Before heading home I stopped at the Mill Run Target & Home Depot. I picked up a couple more things, including wrapping paper. What a day! I was home by 4pm. Mindy mentioned not being home until 5 or so, and Jacob was at Noah’s after school. All that meant was I didn’t have to rush. I stowed all the presents and put away the food.

 I brought the tree up from the basement and took my time setting it up. I made sure to touch and fluff each & every branch. It looked like the picture when I finished. That exercise took a good hour. Mindy & all the kids arrived home shortly after 5pm. After a quick greeting, I walked Ykraps. 

Can’t readily recall what we had for dinner, but I am sure that it was good.  The kids were very excited about the tree and much looking forward to decorating it Tuesday night. We did the alternating bath thing, which tonight was Rocky & Landon’s turn. We put all four kids to bed by 8pm. 

I tuned to MNF. Mindy felt that she was coming down with another sinus infection and went to bed early. I stayed up and watched more football drinking a couple of winter warmers. Good night moon!
