Numbers & Charts

Even after 9 hours of sleep I woke feeling as though I needed more. But fortunately, after calisthenics I felt just fine. Probably just needed to get the blood flowing. Needed to be across town again today but not until 930am. I was very deliberate with my early AM routine and found myself heading out for a run by 645am almost like our normal school day routine. Speaking of school day routines, I am pretty sure that Mindy and the kids were heading in to work on her class room again.

I ran 4.1 miles and was surprised to find Mindy up, downstairs and making my breakfast when I got back from my run. She offered that I head to the shower while she finished. Cool! That saved lots of time. It was quarterly presentation day so I dressed a little nicer than usual. Mindy offered to iron my dress shirt but I declined. I was downstairs again and ready to go by 815am, which was far earlier than most days of late. We walked the pug together before I left.

Headed out around 835am. Took a while scooting across town but still made it there with plenty of time to spare. My boss was set up in my cube. We hooked up in the hallway then meandered around just outside of the occupied conference room where our quarterly presentation was set to take place.

Meeting started a few minutes late, or about 1005am. Just as it has during the last couple quarterly presentation, my numbers and charts kicked off all sorts of questions and debate. My piece went 30 minutes or more. Walked away with a few action items. Ugh!

Around noon, I met four of my co-workers including my boss in the cafeteria for lunch. First time in more than two years that I ate in the cafeteria. We had another meeting scheduled for 1pm - our weekly technical meeting. That went a lot smoother than the quarterly presentation. Over near 2pm. Spent the remainder of my day catching up on several other to-dos. Left for home near 5pm.
