Slept well. Up near 615am.
Start coffee and exercise: sit-ups, windmills, curls
Coffee, internet, meditation and stretching.
Run 4.1 miles.
Cloudy, 70 degrees - supposed to clear up as the day progressed.
Excited about getting my car back
Eggs for breakfast. Pack lunch.
Take Mindy coffee on way to shower
I have a 1030 dental appointment. Original plan was to head into office until 10am
That changed. Decided it more efficient to work from home until appointment. Would head to the office after dental appt.
Mindy and the kids left for Findley near 10am. Expected home near 3pm. Of course Jacob not home until August 12th.
Left for dentist appt. at 1015am. Took back way through Arlington. Arrived 5 minutes early. By then it was nice and sunny.
Lora guides me back to dental chair. Dr March replacing a failed filling in an upper right tooth.
While waiting on Novocain to take, I shared my displeasure with the total cost of Ashley's whitening appointment. Ended up about $100 more than quoted. Dr March seemed dumfounded - surprised. Promised to make it right. Would have office manager contact me to straighten it out.
Didn't take him long to replace the old filling. In and out in 30 minutes.
Colleen, office manager, still at lunch when we were done. Dr March promised to have her call me to straighten out bill.
Headed to the office arriving near 1115am
Nice to be in my own office.
August 1st meant time to pull data for July monthly report
Didn't hear from Germain Honda as promised. Called proactively instead. Got VM of service advisor. Left message.
Keith calls back about 20 minutes later to share that my car was ready and waiting. Left eager to get back into my Accord.
Didn't take long to get there from work - easy drive around 270 a couple exits.
Sign paper work and pay remaining deductible. Leave rental car keys with them.
Went over car with fine tooth comb. Door still not working correctly. Sometimes door opens/unlocks, sometimes not. Same issue we had after Safelite left the house. Dammit! Also, new interior leather door skin not mounted correctly. I could see the clips. Pissed!
Back to the desk. Receptionist sends Keith out to meet me. We inspect car together. I ask if he really even checked the repair as he shared he had. Said was unaware of the door unlocking issue. Duh - first thing on estimate. Apologized and promised to make it right.
Gave me rental car keys back. Promised to call Enterprise and extend rental. Keith to call me that afternoon and let me know how long until it's really ready. Disappointed, I drove back to the office in the Altima rental.
Celled Mindy. She was near 23 and 270 coming back from Findley. Shared car dilemma.
Agreed to let Bella decide what we would do for dinner.
Spent rest of afternoon taking care of numerous project related tasks.
Come 430pm, no call from Keith at Germain. Called proactively. Had to call main body shop desk where I talked with Trish who promised to make the repair right and have Keith call me back with the plan.
Keith calls back near 445pm to share that the Accord won't be ready that afternoon. Need to order new lock latch assembly. Will let me know lunch time Friday.
Leave for home. Not knowing how long I might be in the rental, went ahead and programmed my cell phone into rental's bluetooth phone service. Called Mindy and then tried reaching my mom. No answer. Left a VM..
Mindy shared that Bella wanted to stay home for dinner. Fine with me.
We would enjoy leftovers.
Evening was here and gone.
Off to bed early. eager for Friday and the weekend.
