Sleep until 630am on purpose.
Planning to work from home.
Exercise, play, work.
Didn't leave for a run until 830am.
Foggy, warm, 71 degrees at run time.
Mindy, Gloria, Bella leave to meet Joe for lunch and then head to American Girl Doll store at Easton around 11am.
Gloria tells me to tend to laundry while they're gone. She loves me so much!
Finalize quarterly presentation. Finishing touches on monthly report too.
Do a little yard work at lunch. Trim ivy from west burning bushes and foundation. Also trim back the honeysuckle growing along west front yard and pond. Had an enormous pile in no time. Left it sit while I headed back inside to work.
Wrapped up my work day around 430pm.
Headed back outside to drag pile of brush to compost pile before Mindy returned home.
Gloria sticks around until 4pm.
Shower
Mindy, Bella and I made plans to have dinner at Barley's.
Drove Pilot. Bella brought one of her American Girl dolls.
Got a table in Justin's section.
I drank a spiked Fortune Teller Imperial Porter. Made with hot peppers.
The American Girl doll turns out, loves IPA. Hmm? Who knew?
Had a Hopiate next. Saying it'll be their last batch for a while. Too bad, it's terrific.
My original plan was to order dinner, and I thought I might go with the Barley burger but when Mindy and Bella were ready to order food I decided to pass. Instead, I filled up on beer and the delicious French fries we ordered as an appetizer.
Left for home around 9pm. Mindy & Bella were slowing making their way to the car. I did my best to startle and scare as they approached in the dark. Bella let out one heck of a scream.
We were too far down the freeway when Bella alerted us that her American Girl left her eye glasses behind somewhere at Barley's. Further, she insisted it had to be when I scared her, thereby pinning the blame on me.
Mindy was quick to want to exit and turn around to go look for them.
My God! What did we pay for those darn things? I was afraid to ask. Instead, I insisted we wait until arriving home where we could scour the Pilot with light. Mindy reluctantly abided by my wishes.
At home, no luck finding the glasses in the Pilot. Mindy and Bella made no bones about their intentions of heading right back to Barley's to look for them.
Not me. I wished them luck then headed inside where I watched more preseason NFL football and checked the Reds score online.
They weren't gone but maybe 10-12 minutes. Happily, they found the missing eye glasses near where we parked further validating Bella's contention that they fell off when I scared her as we prepared to depart.
Mindy was noticeably irritated with me for not going back to Barley's with them.
Asleep by 10-1015pm.
