Cloudy, cool 4th. Rained about half an inch. Ugh!
Up around 8am. Ran in the light rain. I started lawn chores soon after my run despite a wet lawn. Because of that, I cut most of the upper back with the push mower, not wanting to tear up the soggy ground with my tractor. The Grandkids left around 230pm
Mindy the kids and I headed to a 4th of July party at Lori & Bill's (neighbor Pat & Lisa's family). Lori lives in The Glen and has large lot at the back of a cul-de-sac. She has a lovely in ground pool and surrounding patio. Granted, I don't know a lot of folks with in ground pools, but hers is one of the finest I've seen anywhere. Unfortunately, because of rain, we, at least temporarily, had to move the party to the garage until it stopped. The rain soon stopped but the clouds remained.
Food was served buffet style, and there was plenty of it. Yum! During the 3 or 4 hours we were there, I drank 3 beers. However, I stopped drinking a couple hours before we left. Mindy, on the other hand, kept drinking beer, and powerful beers at that - Bodhi and Southern Tier XXIPAs. She was feeling no pain and far and away more buzzed than any of the others on hand.
Jacob asked if he could spend the night with Tyler. Mindy, Lori agreed. Mindy, Bella and I left for home around 830-9pm. I had to work Friday, so there wasn't much party left in me. At home we were soon to bed and watching TV. However, rather than going right to sleep, Mindy repeatedly asked me to tell her why I loved her. And even after I provided answers, she asked again and again. It's fair to say, she had a buzz. I think we finally fell asleep around 1030pm.
