Less Miserable Than You
Last full day at the lake house
Up near 7am and soon out to the family room for a quick cup of coffee.
David and Anita were once again already up and at their respective computer desks.
Anita finished her 3 mile walk well before I was even up.
Warm and mostly cloudy start to the day.
Ran regular route to River Rd and back - 3 miles
For some reason the run was easier than the two prior.
Spotted two white tail deer scampering off into the woods as I neared.
Home for breakfast and more coffee.
David made eggs over easy along with more bacon and bagels. Very good!
Watched plenty of the British Open. Tiger was -3 under par when we finally headed out to the dock to play.
Sky soon cleared and we hit the lake.
Jacob & Bella asked to tub on Big Mable
Cruised the lake for a couple hours pulling the kids behind for quite a while.
Back to the house for lunch. David & Anita pulled out all the leftovers. I had beef stroganoff.
Back out to the dock while David and Anita hung inside. I figured David would soon be napping.
A few minutes later Anita then David joined us on the dock. Said there would be plenty of time to nap after we're gone come Sunday.
Headed back out on the lake. Eventually turned Big Mable around so the chair rest faced forward. The kids enjoyed that ride too.
Back to the dock around 4pm. We spend the rest of the afternoon swimming, playing just off the dock. Used our feet to find muscles. Bella had quite a collection once it was all said and done.
David and I hung out at the dock long after the others headed inside. Had quite the beer buzz going, that along with Jello shots. Even Jacob had a few earlier. The blue raspberry with Vodka was the bomb!
Dinner was fajita's using the leftover steak from Friday evening's dinner. Fajita's were good. Jacob ate 4!
David baked a Digiorno's pizza after Bella asked.
After dinner and very near 930pm, David put in a DVD movie - Les Miserables. Only he and I watched, though Anita was nearby, at least at the start. The others had already peeled off for bed.
With a belly full of food and drink, it wasn't too long before both David and I started to dose, David heavier than I.
I watched the movie until almost 11pm. Left David sleeping. He looked at peace.
