Pond Skimming Two - Psycho Pug

So happy to report that it was sunny, warm & steamy.

After my sweaty run, Mindy & I did a 2nd round of pond clean-up, this time working our way from the mid-backyard patio north towards the bridge. I brought my telescoping tree pruner this time, too. Cleaned up about 30' feet of shoreline.. Still a small section to clean-up between the two areas and then we'll work our way back to the end of our property, but another day. As it was, we had lots of tree/brush to chop up and haul to the compost pile.

The kids were up shortly after we finished the water part. Jacob reluctantly helped carry debris to the pile. Mindy had to threaten his freedom to garner his help. :)

Afterwards, I was exhausted, but didn't dare stop. Instead, I got out my chain saw and cut the 6-8" diameter branch that fell out of the ash tree the Wednesday prior during a storm. And as soon as that was finished, I cut the lawn again even though I cut it only three day prior. Growing like crazy now that we have the summery weather on hand.

For dinner, we planned on grilling the Chilean sea bass Mindy bought for our canceled SC trip. Mindy invited my dad over too. During the mid afternoon, Mindy went grocery shopping for the first time in about 3 weeks. While she was away, I went after the boat with the Pilot so we'd have it home for Monday & Tuesday's Alum Creek outings.

More to come ....
