Enjoyed coffee for 20 minutes ahead of a run
Woke Mindy with cup of coffee near 7am
Ran 3 miles
Home near 730am
Set irrigation system to water every other day
Finish tax letter to City of CMH – prepare to mail.

Showered ready by 810am
Others about ready too
Loaded Pilot with gear (food, clothes, toys, drink)
Departed 850am (20 minutes later than projected)
Stopped @ Tim Horton’s in Bloomfield (btwn CMH & Circleville) for breakfast.
Kids Tim-Bits / Mindy & I breakfast sandwiches
Lovely drive / hot & sunny
Didn’t stop again until WV turnpike for pee break
Clouded up as we entered NC
Severe thunder storm forming over top us as we approach Charlotte, NC.
Traffic comes to a crawl. Storm pummels us. Torrential rains, severe lightning and strong winds.
Storm follows our path drifting SW down I-77. Scary!
Rained so hard that we were hydroplaning on freeway fast lane. Scary!
Mindy/David texting. David shares rain already past them at the Lake.
Thankfully, skies brighten some once into SC
Arrived at David & Anita’s lake escape 620pm after 9.5 drive. Last 80 miles took 2+ hours.
Felt good to arrive at our destination. David welcomed me with a home brewed ale.
Mindy wasted little time settling in. Anita had a welcome package waiting for her in our suite. 
Happy to stand after riding in the car all day.
Immediately stepped onto the deck to sniff the lake air, take in the lovely lake view.
David shared stories of the recent flood and its recession.
David had dinner already preparing – oven roasted turkey breast & beef stroganoff – Yum!
Before or after dinner, David/Anita suggested a quick boat ride.
Peaceful – lovely – short boat ride – maybe 20-30 minutes.
Spent evening enjoying each other’s company.
Others to bed ahead of David & I – by 10pm. He & I stayed up until 1145pm.
