Travel day - Portland Bound!

Again, I was up at 5:30am sharp! I leaped right to my feet but I was admittedly not as energetic as many days past. More so than anything, I attributed the fatigue to taking Zyrtec in preparation to being exposed to Glenn’s cats. Two out of the past five trips have left me in allergy misery, so much so that I get the symptoms similar to a common cold. It just so happened that I had an unopened bottle of Zyrtec left from Lindsey’s days at home. I went about a slightly altered morning routine. I still did my usual exercises, walked Ykraps, coffee’d, and meditated, but when it came to prepping the day’s food, I packed an abbreviated lunch. Too, I finished a few last minutes tasks that needed addressed prior to my leaving. One of the last things I did before leaving the house was to sit out another Zyrtec and a Diclofenac so that I’d be allergy-free, and shoulder and back pain-free. I almost sat out a blood pressure pill that Mindy has stashed at my home in an old Diclofenac bottle. The pills look similar, but a closer glance at the bottle revealed that she had written in indelible marker the name of the B.P. med. Whew! Not sure what the heck that would’ve done to me! I left the house for work at 7:40am. As I was backing out, I decided to go back inside and pack my BM’er keys in my carry-on. Hey, I didn’t want to leave such a temptation for anyone! I figure, given the opportunity, I would probably have taken her for a spin when I was 20! On my way to work I spoke with Mindy. She was all ready and had just dropped her kids at the sitter. She reported, as I expected, a bit of a tearful goodbye. Mindy hasn’t traveled much without her children – as it should be. I arrived to work right on time – 8:00am sharp! My plan was to have a happy-go-lucky day, squeeze my run in early, and get out of the office around 3:00pm. I want to be home by no later than 4:00pm. The morning moved briskly. Of course, it was sped along by doing my run at 11:00am. I wanted to get it out of the way just in case we got slammed around lunch time. I was back from the run by 11:45am. Very nice weather for running. And before I forget, congratulations Don - 23 years and no longer counting! Don is at his divorce hearing as I type. I’ll bet he has butterflies about now! He has been waiting for this day for an awfully long time. I know that my divorce day was like a new birthday! No disrespect meant. Instead, it represented the end of one chapter and a fresh, new opportunity to begin another. The afternoon is moving along quite nicely. It’s 1:40pm as I type. And now it’s 2:43pm Very, very busy suddenly! I left the office at 3:00pm. My first sto pwas Best Buy to buy the James Blunt CD I had been wanting for a few days. I was home by 3:31pm. I decided first to lash up Ykraps and take our walk. Great! It begna pouring rain. Lordy be, it was coming down in sheets! As soon as we got back, it stopped! :) go figure. OK, I've got to get going! Bye-Bye!
