Fog Lifting

A bit of a back slide but not too bad. I didn’t wake up until 545am this morning. That seemed late given that I was up well before 530am the past two days. Despite the hour, I felt very rested. After making quick work of my morning exercise routine, Ykraps and I were out the door for our usual morning stroll. He’d prefer that refer to it as a morning prowl given his new found macho identity (whatever!). The pre-dawn sky was a mixture of clear and clouds, yet the forecast called for sunny skies and warm temps. As the sun rose I realized what was up. FOG!!! We were under a dense fog alert. My drive to work provided spurts of both blue and gray. On one hand we had a clear blue sky, while on the other we had thick fog. It was like driving through pea soup! Once I reached the top of the Davidson Rd/270 overpass there was nothing but blue skies as far as the eye could see. Cool! That lifted my spirits. Once at work I took a quick glance at my Outlook calendar which gave the impression that the day would be slightly less hectic than the prior two. However, it doesn’t always work out that way. But today it did – thankfully! The morning moved by quickly. Before I knew it, it was time for a run. The weather was so nice that it made running five miles an absolute breeze. I’d like to bottle days like this! The afternoon was a little busier than the morning which is often the case. I had a couple of meetings and then an unplanned customer issue that required quite a bit of my personal attention. As a matter of fact, that kept me at the office until almost 530pm. Mindy and I discussed our evening plans and decided to both chill at home this evening. I had several things I wanted to focus on as did she. My first and usual order of business was tending to Ykraps and prepping for the AM. That was done and in the bag by 6pm. Next, I decided to eat before doing anything else. I warmed up some leftover pizza. The pizza was left over from last Saturday, and I had plenty of it too. I can’t stand to throw good food out. What a waste that would be! It was still delicious. After eating I processed mail and sat down at my computer to update my blog. That took about an hour. I had two days worth of text to enter and four days worth of pics to add. After updating my webpage I spent the next hour playing guitar. That’s exactly what I needed! By then it was 9pm. Mindy called sometime soon after and we talked for a quite a while. I went to bed at 10pm, again. I am liking this getting to bed on time thing!
