Kayaks Leaving Home

I was up for work by 605am. And just like most Monday’s figured to be working from the Hilliard office. That didn’t come to pass. Instead, I ended up working from home after getting involved in the same work related issue that kept me plugged in Thursday evening, Friday, and then on and off again Sunday.

Dad stopped by the house shortly before I left for a run. I’m thinking it was near 845am when I finally headed out. Ran the full 4.1 miles. Dad & Glenn left for mom’s place around 11am. I helped them load the lime kayak into dad’s minivan. Made sure he had an oar and all the necessary safety devices too (pfd, etc). Wasn’t sure if he’d be coming back on Thursday or Friday. And at the time, we were unsettled on whether or not we’d be going to red, white and boom on Thursday evening.

The rest of the work day was fairly quiet. Mindy left to run errands and pick-up Jacob around noon. And I am fairly certain that she took a nap mid-day sleeping for about 2 hours. We didn’t have solid dinner plans though Jacob campaigned for Barley’s. That wasn’t in the cards. I was exhausted after a weekend chalked full of activity. We ended up warming leftover pizza on the stone. Fed a handful of neighborhood kids too.

I was off to bed fairly early. It couldn’t have been any later than about 915pm.
