Srambling to Win Scrabble

Up near 6am. Cooler start to the day. Partly cloudy start. Heavy rain forecasted with hurricane winds possible. 63 partly cloudy at run time.

Ran 4 miles.

Mindy heading into school again to finish packing her classroom.
Working across town. Left the house 850am. Arrived 25 minutes later.

Quiet work day. At lunch I stopped at the bank to get cash. Haven’t done that in a really long time.

Took a lengthy online training class during the afternoon. Heard folks talking about the heavy rain.

Left for home around 415pm. It was pouring and I didn’t have my umbrella. In addition, my car was parked out in the upper lot. Used my backpack to shield myself from the rain.

Kids heading to dinner with Jimaken. Mindy and I opted for Barley’s. More heavy rain.
Enjoyed some dinner (ribs, chicken, and brisket) along with a couple beers. Justin will be leaving Barley’s soon and moving away (home). We gave him a nice parting gift then. He darn near cried.

Took Jacob and Bella home 20 Texas wings. We played Scrabble at the kitchen table. In the end it was just Mindy and I battling it out for the most points with only two letter squares remaining. I was behind by 9 points but with the 10 point letter “Q”. I wanted the victory bad! Couldn’t make a word. She wouldn’t accept Qa as a word. 
