Rabies Vaccine
Thursday’s rise came easy. I didn’t feel nearly as tired as the morning prior and actually had an extra boost of energy as I began my day. And while I might’ve been feeling better, I couldn’t say the same for the weather. The skies were clouded over and the threat of rain lingered in the air. Aside from my lawn needing cut, we really needed the rain. I wasn’t disappointed.
After exercise, walking Ykraps, and delivering Mindy’s morning coffee, I prepped for a run. It was sprinkling when I first set out, and it continued throughout the run’s entirety.
Mindy left for work soon after I returned. Not long after, I was in the shower and readying myself for work. Jacob was feeling a bit froggie at the bus stop. He broke the golden rule a number of times grabbing not only me but also Alanna. Instinctually, I gave him a little pop as a reminder.
Work was busy. However, I still took a lunch break. I drove home, picked up Ykraps and took him to the vet. We went to the Banfield Vet Clinic inside of Petsmart. He was due for his 3 year rabies vaccine. If you show up there between the hours of 1 & 2pm Mon-Fri they wave the office visit fee. That would save me almost $40, plus I wouldn’t have to fool around getting him into his regular vet scheduled for this coming Saturday morning. Sounded like a good deal to me. I was the only patient in there at the time. It took a little longer than I had hoped but it was still fairly efficient. However, they badly tried up selling me on ancillary services. They went as far as to say he was “suffering” from an ear infection and needed treatment right away to end his misery. Funny! He didn’t act as if anything was wrong. I resisted their advances. They made me feel a little inadequate, but I shook it off on the drive back home. :) I was gone about 1.25 hours.
I got a call late afternoon from Performance Bicycles informing me that Mindy’s bike was in, however, mine was not. Because of this, I wasn’t sure if I’d pick it up on Friday or wait for mine to come in.
I left work at 5:30pm destined for home. Olivia was at our home with Mindy & the kids. I was looking forward to seeing her. Not only was Olivia over, but so were several of the neighbors kids. They were all playing nicely, although the house was a bit chaotic. I walked Ykraps for a little sliver of peace. Mindy served dinner shortly after I returned. We had spaghetti and meatballs. It was good. Olivia enjoyed some, too. And so did Ashley when she arrived a bit later. I washed all of the dinner dishes before kicking back.
We went to bed really early in hopes of getting a full night’s sleep. Both of us were weary, and I was beat from a week’s worth of yard work, although I did none that night. This was my night to rest.
