Catheter Comes Out
Experimentation with Macro Zoom
It was the beginning of a new work week. I was up and ready to get after it at the usual 5:30am. Nothing too spectacular, in fact, it was just a chilly spring morning. I checked the radar and forecast. It was now supposed to be partly sunny and in the low 60’s. As of last evening, rain was forecast all day. Geesh –give me a break! Nothing I could do about it so I just went with it.
I dashed off with Ykraps for our morning stroll. Boy was it chilly! The temperature was somewhere in the mid 40’s.
I didn’t bother delivering coffee to Mindy. Instead, I hoped that she’d sleep in. I left for my run quietly around 6:30am. When I returned from my run, I was very impressed to find Jacob up packing his school lunch and also making his own breakfast. Wow! Didn’t think he had it in him. I delivered Mindy some coffee when I went up for a shower. I tried being quiet, but that’s nearly impossible. Mindy needed to phone her doctor about removing the catheter and about a developing fever. At that point, she still wasn’t sure how she’d get there, but did have several options at her disposal.
Jacob and I left for the bus and for work around 7:55am. We met the Shultz’s at the bus stop. Mostly, we bitched about the crappy weather. I chose to drive the BM’er after confirming that the radar was clear regionally. It was chilly but also sunny. I needed a BM’er day. I got to work just before 8:30am. Many co-workers stopped by to ask how Mindy was doing. I was also briefed on all the latest work gossip. It never ends, or does it? The work day went by fast. I didn’t leave for an official lunch, or at least as much as I remember. I packed a garden salad for lunch, leftover from what the neighbors provided for Sunday dinner. It was especially good.
Mindy phoned a couple of times to let me know that she had been to the doctor and had gotten her catheter out. In addition, her fever was gone, and they didn’t seem too concerned over it. She was already feeling better, too. I’m not quite sure who brought Bella home but she was back when I arrived home.
After walking Ykraps, I had leftovers for dinner. I was very busy trying to address everyone’s needs and keep the house tidy at the same time. I was beat. Mindy spent a lot of time in bed still recovering. After getting the kids into bed I prepped the following day’s coffee and then did some blogging. I hit he sack early too.
