Go Ahead and Water the lawn, My Give a Damn's Busted!

The sun wanted to come out all day Tuesday but couldn’t. The early morning sky was thick in cloud cover so any hope of yet another marvelous sunrise was dashed. It wanted to bust through, though. I could feel it in YOUR bones. Hey, but we've got to take the good with the bad . Also, we had a couple of brief yet hard down pours the night prior so I was thankful for what that might do for my lawn. This summer, as we’ve already discussed, has been unusually hard on the lawn. Again today, because of the low sky, running was a breeze. I could literally have run all afternoon. Perfect running conditions. Back at the office, I had several tasks to complete which included prepping for a team meeting tomorrow morning. I love meeting with my team and talking about all that’s going on. Plus, I have some big announcements to share and they are all good! My primary evening goal was to take care of my lawn. I hadn’t cut my grass in about 12 days so it really needed it. I tend to lose motivation when we go through a drought such as we did through most of the summer. I have several areas of my lawn that suffered severe “brown out”. I don’t care for that. I gave some consideration to adding an in-ground sprinkler system but in the end I chose to spend my money on the boat instead. I mean, hell, how much fun can one have with a sprinkler system? And how many “hotties” can a guy pick-up with it? ZERO! :) Anyway, after ten minutes of reading and a fifteen minute nap I whacked, edged, cut, rode, and blew the lawn. All that accomplished in just over an hour. After showering, eating, and chatting on the phone for a while I didn’t leave myself much time to practice guitar tonight. Oh well, I’ll have to fix that tomorrow night. I was in bed by 1015PM. Ahhhhhhhhh!!!!!!
