Wobbling Sahara

Garret William - 7lbs. - 5ozs.
Up late - 540am Weather turning colder - 31 degrees - expecting falling temps throughout the day Exercise, meditation, stretching, run four miles Work to edit/finalize performance evals - other troubles brewing causing work stress Didn't take lunch Stopped at the Hilliard Kroger after work to pick-up gifts for team members (Martini & Rosi Asti Spumante, box of chocolates for ten, $25 VISA gift cards for the two that don't drink) Also picked up a spiral sliced ham for tomorrow's holiday potluck Spitting snow on drive home Kids night with Jimaken Mindy & I visit Karianne (Mindy's teacher friend) at OSU hospital who just had a baby boy (Garret William - 7lbs-5oz) Leave hospital at 700pm and head to Barleys Bitter Dan IPA for me - Jack Frost Holiday Ale for Mindy Dinner - Mindy brisket sandwich - me Gates of Hell wings and sauerkraut balls Only one beer each. Mindy picked up the check At home the kids arrive around 830pm Watch Science Channel - Sahara Desert • absolutely fascinating. Scientists discovered that the Sahara Desert once was covered by an ocean until the tectonic plates shifted. Now it cycles between lush and desert every 20K years due to Earth's wobble. Latest shift some 7K years ago. Found evidence (fossils) of massive lakes (twice as big as the Great Lakes). Lastly, about 2/3s of the desert's mass has huge water stores resting beneath.
