I was up 5:40am. Like usual, I did my exercises and then walked Ykraps.
After delivering Mindy’s coffee I got busy on food prep. Mindy reminded before bed that she wouldn’t need a lunch since she’d be lunching with a student. That made food prep that much easier. I simply packed the remaining tuna fish and threw together a quick lettuce-less salad and I was done.
Before Mindy left for the day, I gave her a blank check to use for the window repair we were expecting later this afternoon. After Mindy departed I showered for work. I left around 7:50am. I put my new CD book in the player to listen to on my drive in. This is my first audio book ever, Beyond Belief - The Gospel of Thomas, by Elaine Pagels. I wasn’t sure what to expect but found myself quickly captivated after the initial listen.
Work went well. Come 12:45pm I left for my run. The forecast for the day called for changing skies but still partly sunny and temps approaching 70. Still very nice. It was nearly 65 degrees when I ran. The window guy left me a VM letting me know that he’d definitely be out this afternoon to replace our leaky window. I relayed the information to Mindy, who planned to meet him there after school.
The afternoon went relatively fast. I left for home by 5:15pm. We had a house guest. One of Jacob’s school mates was playing at our house until 6 or so. Mindy let me know that she broke a plant pot on the floor while moving plants for the window guy. I cleaned that up shortly after arriving home and walking Ykraps.
I wasn’t too hungry but still put our brats on the grill after Jacob’s friend left. Mindy readied the kids for bed early since Jacob had come down with the Croup. While the brats cooked I ripped my new Kevin Wood, Sacred CD to my PC so that I could download to my MP3 player. I was having extreme difficulties. I ate my brats while at the PC. Mindy expressed some displeasure for me doing so. She preferred that I eat with her.
While working on the ripping process, Renee stopped over for a short visit. By then, American Idol was on. Mindy & Renee watched a little of it. I continued with my mini-project. At 9pm Mindy was again ready for an early bedtime. I was not. I stayed up and watched House. I went to bed at 10pm.
