Straight & to the Point

I planned to sleep late and did. Wasn't out of bed until Mindy was up and downstairs fetching coffee. I made sure that it was prepped the night before so I didn't feel bad. Downstairs by 705am, I promptly completed calisthenics. Didn't take long. At my PC with coffee in hand by 720am. Mindy was rather quick with her ready, downstairs and out the door by 735am. Even then my plan was to see Bella onto the bus, run, shower, then head into the office.

I think it was just after bus time that I checked my work email and saw I had an escalation requiring my attention. Still planning to knock out my run, I dressed and stretched for that. Checked my email a second time and saw yet another issue my requiring my intervention. I didn't really want to, but know what I had to do. I put off my run for a few and fired up my laptop in an attempt to get work back on track. Worked until almost 9am then headed out on a run.

Feeling under pressure to get back home and busy with work, I ran just three miles. It was lovely by the way, sunny and 55. As soon as I was back at home I dug into work. Once I had a small window of time to myself I fried a few eggs - two for me and one for the pug.

From a work perspective, it was a stressful day. I grabbed my guitar and strummed it a few times to help lift my spirits and calm my mood. Other than that, I stayed busy all day long, I took a break around 230pm and got a shower. Felt great. The shower served two purposes. One, the obvious, to get clean. The second to relax.

Before I knew it the kids were home from school, Jacob at 245pm then Bella about an hour later. Don't think that Mindy got home until after 430pm. She knew that I worked from home. Sent me a text midday asking. Jacob had soccer practice and Bella gymnastics. Jimaken came by and picked Jacob up. Mindy took Bella to gymnastics around 530pm. I was still working, following up on the same issue that kept me busy since 730am.

When Mindy got back from dropping Bella she started making fajitas. Bella asked that both of us come to pick her up. Wanted to show us her pass on the trampoline. Mindy pulled herself away from some school work at 710pm then turned the burner off under the fajita concoction. We both headed to the gym to see Bella.

Arrived around 720pm or shortly before practice wrapped up. Seeing both of us there in the audience, Bella asked Kelly, her instructor, if she could show us her pass. Great job! A few flips, and one of them with a full twist. She asked if we could stop for food on the drive home, but Mindy soon shared that she was making fajitas. Jacob called to share his displeasure with Mindy for not telling him that we wouldn't be there when he got home from soccer practice. Oops!

Home around 750pm, Mindy put the finishing touches on the chicken fajitas while I got back to work. It was maybe 830pm when I was finally able to wrap up work and set it aside for the rest of the night. There wasn't much of fajita concoction left by the time I got to the kitchen, but enough for me. And actually, there was some left even after that. I ate just one, not having much of an appetite.

After dinner I tuned into the NFL's Thursday night football game but truly wasn't that interested. So instead of watching football, I flipped the channel to the History Channel and watched a very interesting program named, Your Bleeped Up Brain. Watched two hour long episodes. Good stuff! Early on in my TV watching, Mindy peeled off for bed. I stayed up until almost 11pm.
