Downstairs by 535am I was a little surprised that the coffee maker hadn't yet kicked into action, but after a quick glance it was clear why. I forgot to set the coffee maker clock ahead so it believed it was 430am. I hit the go button and corrected the time. The sky was clear and the temperature still pretty warm - 56 degrees. Expected it to reach 74 degrees later in the day. Add to that, the 10 day forecast showed nothing but the 70's and sunshine. Cool! A very early spring indeed. It was a non-push-up day so after sit-ups, I did 20 curls each arm with 15lb dumbbells. After exercise, I was settled in front of the PC until 6am.
Did meditation and stretching before waking Mindy at 620am. I was out the door for my run just ahead of 630am again. Yep, finding my groove. Not only was it pretty warm for 630am (56 degrees) but it was also humid. In kind, I worked up a fast sweat that soaked all the way through the thin wicking shirt I was wearing. I ran the full 4.1 miles without issue. Felt more like an early summer time run than late winter.
As soon as I was back home I gathered Eiknarf's leash then hollered up the stairs for her. She came while I sat on the steps facing away from her. We walked west in the nice weather. This being the first walk with the new poop sacks, I had to teach myself where they tear away from the next. Note to self, I know I'll need to teach Bella or else we'll be out of bags in a day or two. :)
Mindy had eggs ready by the time I was back at the house. The kids were wearing shorts again. Mindy reminded us about Bella's after school musical. Jacob would have to sit through it twice, once during the school day and again later that evening with us. Mindy planned to pick-up her mom after school, bring t our house for dinner, and then take her to Bella's school musical. Given the lovely forecast, I planned to drive the BM'er.
Off to the shower by 735am, I wasn't too long at all. I was back in the kitchen by 755am. I finished throwing together a lunch then poured a 2nd cup of coffee. The kids and I headed out a couple minutes early, me pulling the Accord to the curb to make room for backing out the BM'er. We met Chrissy & the girls at the bus stop. Once again the bus arrived just after 810am. Once the kids were safely on the bus I started the BM'er and backed it to street then pulled the Accord back up the driveway. I left for the office by 820am.
It was fun drive into the office. There was a thin overcast engulfing Hilliard, but it looked clear and sunny all around, and more importantly to the west. When I parked at the office, I put the top up just to be safe.
I spent pretty much my entire day pulling data and putting together a monthly report for my newest customer. The first one always takes more time since I've got to figure out all the data sources and such. I sent an email to my peers asking for Thursday coverage so I could take a comp day given that I'm the on-call for the coming weekend. It wasn't five minutes before I had a taker. Looking at my calendar, even though I planned to take the day off, I still would have to make a customer site monthly meeting Thursday morning.
Kept busy all day long. Didn't take a formal lunch break. Was at the office until just before 530pm. My boss was talking to another co-worker near the elevator as I exited the 6th floor. I reminded him that I'd be at my main customer's location al l day Wednesday. He promptly asked if I would join him on a call Thursday afternoon to discuss a hot issue. Dammit!
Driving the BM'er I don't typically talk on the phone, but at a traffic light I made a quick call to Mindy to ask if she would move the Accord so I could pull the BM'er into the garage in about ten minutes. She was busy grilling pork chops but said she'd try to accommodate my request.
I arrived home around 550pm. Happily, she must've found the time and had the Accord parked along the curb making it easy for me to stow the BM'er. Thanks dear. Gloria was over for dinner and was sitting at the kitchen table. Makayla was with us again, too. This time Chrissy was taking all her young nephews to Nationwide to see WWF wrestling in her company's suite. All totaled, there were something like eight of them going. Makayla was in the same school musical as Bella, so we made arrangements to take her. She was also having dinner with us.
Speaking of dinner, the pork chops looked and tasted awesome, big, thick, and juicy. Mindy bought some special blend barbeque sauce for them too, but put it on only one - mine. Actually, it was better as dipping sauce. Jacob didn't each much pork, but Mindy at least made him try it. He ended up having a bowl of cereal - Krave. The jokes on him. I really don't like the Krave anymore. Too sweet. I had Mindy buy me a box of Grape Nuts Flakes.
We wrapped up dinner fairly quickly then I tended to kitchen duties. We left for Bella's musical at 655pm, all six of us. Arrived early, and it was a gorgeous evening. Jimaken pulled up just as we were walking in. We headed for the gymnasium where Bella & Makayla met up with their classmates. They ran off to their class room at 715p as designed. The principal, Mrs. Leach did an opening monologue until about 735pm when the musical began. Mrs. Mazeon, the music teacher, gave us an overview of the musical, Mighty Minds, promising a fun, exciting performance that would last no more than 30 minutes.
Most of the kids were next to impossible to understand for them 'eating' the microphone. Bella's speaking part was small, just one line. In fact, there were lots of small one line parts. There was lots of group singing, too. As promised, the program lasted something less than 30 minutes. Took a while to get out of the school. We stopped briefly to chat with Mrs. Anderson, Bella's teacher. Finally made our way to the car by 810pm.
We headed directly to Gloria's place taking I-270 to the West Broad St exit heading east so we could drive by the new casino. Hard to see in the dark. Dropped Gloria at her place near 830pm. Mindy and I both commented about feeling tired. It was a long day.
Once at home I promptly drug the trash can to the curb while Jacob walked the dog. Makayla and Bella took a shower giggling through it all. Makayla was staying the night since Chrissy wasn't expected home until 1030p. Jacob and I watched a program on the Science Channel. Mindy & Jacob headed to bed around 915pm. She asked the girls to keep it quiet, but they must've giggled for another 30 minutes before finally falling asleep. Mindy had to come to the balcony and wake me around 1045pm. I stumbled up to bed a few minutes later.
