GWD-40

I was up on time and just before Mindy’s alarm sounded. I noticed right away that we were under a blanket of cloud cover. Darn, I was hoping for stars. I checked the temperature just before starting my exercise routine. It was 45 degrees. I headed out with Ykraps at 5:45am. All in all, it was a nice morning for a walk. We took our time. We got back to the house at 5:55am. I wasted little time pouring my coffee and getting Ykraps a treat. I played on the PC for ten minutes before delivering Mindy’s coffee. Mindy said she felt as though she might be getting sick – still very sleepy. I hope not. Back downstairs, I spent a few more minutes on the PC before moving onto meditation. Because time got away from me, I didn’t do my inside stretches. However, I still did my outdoor stretch routine. It must’ve been about 6:40am when I finally dashed off. I was comfortable with autumn-like attire (no hand or ear covers). The run went well. Except for a sliver of daylight at my run’s completion, it was totally dark, albeit aided by the dense cloud cover. Rocky was busy eating waffles when I got home. While I sat for my eggs, Mindy went to fetch Landon and Bella. Bella was limp like a rag doll. And even though her mother asked her to get ready to leave, she plopped down on the sofa while Mindy went back upstairs after Landon. They were out of the house at 7:25am. The kitchen was even more upside down than it usually is for that time of day. But I was determined to have it sparkling before leaving for work. For one, it makes me feel good. And number two, I knew it would make Mindy’s afternoon go much smoother coming home to a clean kitchen and an empty dishwasher. So, after my shower and getting Jacob on the bus, I took ten minutes to unload the dishwasher and tidy things up. After throwing together a quick lunch, I left for work at 8:15am. I remembered that I could’ve driven the BM’er, but even though the temperature was moderate enough, it wasn’t that pretty of a morning. Maybe tomorrow. I arrived at work at or near 8:30am. We were busy from go. Most of my day was spent cleaning up issues leftover from the weekend. But things loosened by mid-afternoon. I thought that I might visit Golf Galaxy at lunchtime to get new spikes for my golf shoes. But unfortunately, I left them at home. I really want to have them with me when I get new spikes so I can make sure to get the proper style. Incidentally, it took a great deal of work to get the old, worn out spikes off. Thank God for WD-40. When I finally get there (Golf Galaxy), I plan to look at new a driver, too. J Maybe tomorrow. Hey, I’ve said that twice now. Instead of a road trip, I worked straight through stopping only long enough to go fetch my lunch from the fridge. I kept busy through the afternoon and left for home around 5:30pm. It was a lovely evening, certainly prettier than the morning. Weather-wise, this was set up for the next couple of days. Mindy had all the leftovers out for dinner. We had plenty. There was meat loaf, stir fry, spaghetti, Big Fat, brats and dogs. I went simple. I had hot dogs topped with meatloaf used like coney meat. Yummy! After dinner, we pretty much disposed of all the rest. Some of it was approaching a week old. Wow, look at all that room in our fridge! The evening at home wasn’t too exciting. We got the kids ready for bed come 7:45pm. We discussed what we wanted to do about the ongoing care of Rocky & Landon. We both want to put closure on our future. We went to bed agreeing to sleep on it, but felt we had the frame work for a decent plan. We’d already told Lindsey that we needed closure this week. We headed for bed even before 10pm. I headed up at 9:30pm. Mindy was only minutes behind.
