I was dragging a little bit after staying up late to watch the Indians clinch and the Cowboys pull one from their proverbial ass. Even still, I was up and about at 5:30am. My shoulders were stiff and ached through most of the night only adding to the morning’s discomfort. I took an anti-inflammatory. Soon after exercise I was out walking Ykraps on yet another balmy mid-autumn morning. This one looks like the last for a while. It was 67 at 7:10am. Tomorrow’s expected to be many degrees cooler. I carried on with my usual routine before and after my run. Mindy had eggs ready upon my return, and left a handful of minutes later. Jacob and I were left to fend for ourselves. He seemed a little grumpy after I helped carry Mindy’s gear out to the van. He threw a few punches a just as I reentered the house. I chose to ignore them and treated them instead like love taps. :) After my shower he seemed to be in a much better mood as we made our way to the bus stop. By 8:25am I was finally at work and ready to dig into whatever the day had to offer. I stayed busy all day long not taking any real breaks. I left for home around 5:20pm. The weather had changed dramatically throughout the day. While it was warm and muggy this AM, a cold front moved through as well as a band of showers leaving in its wake much cooler autumn-like air. At home Mindy had hot wings ready. We hadn’t had those in quite a while. They were very good! After dinner Jacob and I went outside to throw the football. Meanwhile, Mindy went to fetch Bella from dance class. Incidentally, Bella specifically requested that we save our bones so that she could enjoy them later. No kidding! Jacob and I threw the football for quite a long time. Some neighbors joined in late as the sky darkened quickly. We stayed out as long was we could. It didn’t go unnoticed that one of the kids was one I blasted a few weeks ago for some unscrupulous acts in front of our home. But every kid deserves a chance and he was very polite tonight. Mindy & Bella were back by 7:30pm. Mindy called the kids for a bath. I spent some time updating my blog prior to tuning into House at 9pm.
