Week in My Briefs

This was the first full week of summer for Mindy & the kids. Well, sort of. Mindy had to go into school on Monday to shut down her classroom. Took the kids with her.

5 day work week- In the office Monday, Tuesday, Thursday. Worked at customer location on Wednesday and then home on Friday. I cut the lawn at lunch Friday along with packing for our S.C. trip.

Cool start to the week – reached only 65 degrees on Monday, June 3 and then barely 70 on Thursday & Friday. In between, there were two really nice days. In fact ,Tuesday was a BM’er day, and Wednesday was even warmer but eventually segued into rain.

Mindy, Bella and I visited CBC for dinner on Monday while Jacob attended fall soccer tryouts.

Dental appointment for crown prep on Thursday at lunch (1pm) Took about an hour. Not as bad as I expected.

Ashley called early Friday to share that she was in a car accident downtown – rear ended. She’s OK but her car severely damaged. Not her fault. Fought the insured for a rental.

The kids left for the Outer Banks 130pm Friday afternoon.

At 5pm I set my out of office. Wasn’t expecting to be back until the following Wednesday (June 12).

Mindy and I headed to Lake Chaktaw Friday near 6pm for Tara Windle’s retirement open house. We took a cooler of beer (6-pack Southern Tier XXIPA). Drank only one. Food was good. Weather cool and mostly cloudy. Event held outside on their enormous deck – nearly a 1000 sq ft. Left at 730pm and headed to Ashley’s house to drop off a bottle of Advil. Hugged Olivia bunches!

Headed to Barley’s for a beer or two. Mindy didn’t want to stay out late though in preparation for our long drive Saturday morning. Steve Wonn was there. Hung with him, mostly. Also talked with Little Bob, grandpa Tom and Steve. Had two beers, a Hoptopus and a Centennial.
