Internal Cleansing Begins
I purposefully let myself sleep a little late, or until 545am. Other than me, no one else needed to be up. Completed a full complement of exercises, including push-ups. Headed to the PC with coffee near 6am
Where I spent a solid 30 minutes online. Meditation and stretching were next. Finished both of those by 645am and then dressed and left for a run.
It was 32 degrees with light snow, close to an inch of fresh stuff. Ran the full 4.1 miles despite slightly tired legs. Little wonder after three days of skiing. I felt alright though. Back home close to 730am. Started breakfast and packed a light lunch. Headed to the shower near 8am. Took Mindy a cup of coffee.
Mindy opted to remain in bed after my shower. I enjoyed another cup of coffee while the Accord warmed in the driveway. Left for New Albany near 840am. Made good time zooming across town and then north on 270. Arrived near 910am.
Customer cancelled the 10am call. No pressing issues, which was extremely good news. Still had a very busy day. Didn’t even take lunch. Worked straight through. Left the office near 5pm. Called Mindy once I was safely merged onto 270NW. Mindy shared that she was starting her colonoscopy prep as planned and wouldn’t be making dinner. She took Bella to her mom’s where she planned to spend the night. Jacob elected to stay home. Would be home alone Thursday AM while she an I headed to the appointment at Riverside hospital.
Once home I snacked on nuts and cheese, but then made a turkey brat covered with leftover taco meat and shredded cheese. It was really good! It wasn’t long before Mindy drank the first batch of prep juice! I suggested that I might end up sleeping in the guest room to avoid the inevitable. She laughed. It wasn’t too long before she was giving all the commodes a real workout.
At some point fairly early she headed to the bedroom to watch TV from bed. She came downstairs several times to visit. I spent most of the early evening playing around online until I got a work related escalation. Somewhat surprisingly, Jacob joined his momma in bed watching TV. More than once he shared how bored he was. I ended up working from home until after 10pm. By then my mind was fried. I wanted nothing more than my pillow. I headed up to bed where Mindy and Jacob were still watching TV.
Jacob soon bailed for his own room and I jumped into bed even while Mindy kept watching TV. I was out within 10 minutes.
