Teachers Let the Monkies Out

Up at 530am Cloudy, steamy, foggy – 64 degrees Take Frankie out – squish, squish Exercise, coffee, meditation, and stretching Take Frankie/coffee to Mindy at 625am Head out for run at 635am – partly cloudy – sun peaking through clouds – run 4 miles Mindy’s last day of school with students (tomorrow is classroom clean-up day only) Breakfast - Eggs, fruit, English muffin. Mindy leaves at 735am – Me off to the shower Kids, Frankie to bus stop – pugs wrestle/tangled in leash Kids present bus driver with gift card Frankie out one more time before I leave Take along golf attire just in case Worked straight through – let boss know my plans to leave at 430pm for golf – OK Bob I. responds to golf inquiry – not able to getaway. Tom C. working OT. No golf  Mindy called around 3pm excited – Wahoo – last day of school! Hosting after party at our home with teacher pals and their babies too I didn’t really want to head home and hang with a bunch of teachers I drove by the house at 5pm but kept going. Drove to Griggs reservoir – napped at one of the pull-offs until 525pm – warm/sticky w/o AC on. Arrived home at 545pm. Four or five cars still at the house. Talked with Mindy and her teacher friends. Played with Garrett, Karianne’s 6 month old son for a few minutes. Seems to like me. Mindy’s friends disperse pretty quickly. Gone by 630pm. Mindy asked neighbor Kenny if he would grill steaks – agrees – has two of ours from a while back. We head down around 7pm. I take one of the two 22oz beers I bought at the Anderson’s Wednesday. Steak good. Hang with neighbors until almost 9pm. Head home with kids to ready for bed and their last day of school. We’re all in bed by 10pm.
