Barely 70
I was up on time but still a little groggy. It looked like a nice day in the offing, clear skies and cooler temps. I completed sit-ups and push-ups before freeing Frankie. Actually, I opened her pen right after sit-ups but she remained comfortably in her bed until I coaxed her out after push-ups. She must’ve been worn out from her play date with Woody the evening before.
Frankie only pee’d, and that took a while. I knew then that I’d have to get her out again shortly. That’s nothing knew, however. Inside, I briefly enjoyed some coffee before meditation and then a stretch. Frankie and I headed back outside around 620am. She was again slow moving but eventually took care of business. This time I wore my fleece jacket outside. It was about 57 degrees.
Since Mindy no longer needs to be up this early, I decided to re-pen Frankie while I set out on my run. And she was tired anyhow. I didn’t leave for my run until 645am. I ran four miles wearing long running pants and a thin, long sleeved wicking shirt. I was comfortable. It was also a trash day. I had our container at the curb Sunday evening. It was emptied by the time I returned from my run.
I freed Frankie then started my breakfast. I made a cheese and bacon omelet along with an English muffin. It was really good. Mindy had veggies pre staged in the fridge. All I had to do was grab the last can of tuna and a thing of yogurt and my lunch was made.
After breakfast I took Frankie and coffee to Mindy. It was almost 745am. I hurried through a shower and was ready for work by 805am. Mindy and I enjoyed some coffee from the deck along with Frankie. It was a lovely morning. I declared it a BM’er day.
I left for work at 820am. Mindy shared that she planned to spend her day painting in Jacob’s new bedroom. The sunny skies clouded over during my drive into work – bummer. It wasn’t supposed to rain. I left the top as I normally do.
Work was busy, but when isn’t it? I had a number of conference calls that prevented me from taking a viable lunch. I worked straight through. By day’s end, my butt hurt from too much sitting.
I talked with Mindy late in the afternoon. I planned to leave near 5pm, although I didn’t share as much. As planned, I left for home just after 5pm. Mindy was busy preparing dinner – brats. She was also eager to show off her painting skills. Spent the day painting Jacob’s new room. The base color, a light gray, will be accentuated with some striping and sports figure silhouettes. For now, she just had the first coat of the base color down.
We enjoyed our dinner from the deck. It was lovely, about 70 and sunny. Far cooler and less humid than it’s been recently. And Tuesday’s high isn’t expected to reach 70. We spent the evening chillin’ out. I suggested we walk the pug, but Mindy wasn’t too enthused with my suggestion, citing being too sore from painting all day.
I spent a little time on the PC updating my blog and then took a nap on the sofa. We ended up going to bed even before 10pm.
