Polishing Pooh

Wednesday came upon us fast. I woke early once again. I was amazed that we were already at mid-week. That should serve as a clue to the speed in which the remainder of the year will slip by.

I completed my entire repertoire of calisthenics before heading out with Ykraps. He and I were back before 5:45am. The weather, at least temperature-wise, was improving. It was well above freezing. I was in a much better frame of mind as compared to Tuesday. Things just simply didn’t seem as gloomy, proving once more that it’s a matter of perspective as much as anything else.

Morning play time went fast. Before I knew it, it was time to head out for my run. I was excited about running in my new shoes, although from past experience I expected it to be at least marginally uncomfortable breaking the new one’s in. I wore my running gloves but shed them about half way in. It was too warm for hand covers. Meanwhile, my new running shoes caused only mild discomfort, but at the same time provided the cushioning the older pair lacked after 600+ miles.

Mindy had fried eggs waiting upon my return. They really hit the spot. Soon Mindy & Bella were history. Kenny & Jake met Jacob and I at the bus stop. We tossed the football around like most other days. I left for work at 8:10am. I was happy to see gas prices even lower. They were $1.77 per gallon.

Work wasn’t too busy at all. This was meeting day so it went really, really fast. I was effectively in meetings from 10am thru 3pm, however with a team lunch at Chipotles sandwiched in between. After all the meetings the rest of the day soared by. Most Wednesday’s are Mindy/Jimmy night’s, but tonight would be different. We traded with Jimaken for Thursday since Mindy had parent teacher conferences set up all evening on Thursday. Instead, we had a typical evening at home. The biggest difference was that I didn’t want dinner. I was still plenty full from lunch at Chipotles.

Jacob had neighbor Jake over for most of the evening. Mindy facilitated water color painting in the kitchen while I focused attention on updating my blog, which was sorely behind. I peeled myself away to assist with the tuck in process. After returning downstairs I poured myself a rum & Fresca. I tuned into the Discovery Channel’s Myth Busters. Among other important topics, they were attempting to determine if one could polish poop. Yeah! I fell asleep. Mindy, I think, caught most of it. We headed for bed around 9:30pm.
