Mannheim Tickets

I got up early again Thursday morning. But not only was I up early, I felt terrific, too.

For some reason, I stopped taking my daily vitamin several months ago after rarely missing a single day for several years. I think I stopped when I injured/pulled my ass muscle last spring. My logic at the time was that I didn’t want to be taking too many pills. Lame, I know. Anyway, I took my vitamin both Tuesday and again today. Perhaps I’ll reestablish a good habit.

I skipped push-ups and curls to once again rest my stiff shoulders. I must say, the rest is working. They weren’t that stiff at all, and that’s without taking any Advil. Because I was up early, I had lots of play time after walking Ykraps. We were back by 5:40am. I used the time to try once more to buy Mannheim tickets online. Last night, Ticketmaster locked me out after turning so many ticket pairs away looking for better. I was surprised to find myself locked out still this AM. Don’t get me going on Ticketmaster. What a scam! They’ve got us by the short hairs. You can tack on $12.50 to each ticket by the time you factor in convenience charges & delivery fees, even if you print the tickets electronically.

I also checked Amazon’s price for the new Canon PS SX10IS camera I want. The price is dropping almost daily. This camera has features I wish I had now. It has an upgraded CCD chip and a true wide angle lens along with 20X optical zoom. Oh, and it’s 10 megapixels, too. Today’s price was $339. I promised I’d buy if it got to $350. It’s still $399 at Best Buy. Amazon will throw in a 4gig memory card, no sales tax, and free shipping. Hard to beat! Haven’t pulled the trigger yet, though.

After delivering Mindy’s coffee and spending some quality time in meditation, I dressed for a run. Day two in my new running shoes went much better. Plus, it was 51 degrees so I didn’t bother wearing ear or hand covers. It was nice! Life is good, indeed.

As usual, Mindy had my eggs all but ready upon return. This was a non-school day for Bella, so she was happy. Mindy was a bit stressed looking ahead to her 14/15 hour work day. She wouldn’t wrap up her last parent conference until roughly 9:30pm. The kids would be with Jimaken affording me a free evening by default. I hate that when that happens! J

Soon Mindy and Bella departed. Jacob and I went about our routines. Like always, we were on our way to the bus stop at 7:58am. I left for work immediately after the kids were gone. Gas, I saw, was down another penny to $1.76. Keep it coming down! The down side to that is that the stock market keeps dropping too. It took a pounding on Wednesday, giving up virtually all the gains from last week. Ugh!

Work was busy. I kept my nose to the grindstone all day long. I left for home around 5:40pm. I was in no hurry. No one was at home save for Ykraps. Home a little after 6pm, I took care of the all the usual stuff. I walked Ykraps, first. Afterwards, I prepped coffee and placed my spent lunch containers in the dishwasher. I decided to spend my free time just relaxing. After all my chores were done I had a full hour before the kids returned home.

The kids returned at 7:35pm and were both in a good mood. Jimaken didn’t stay long. I helped Jacob with his Friday homework so he wouldn’t have any over the weekend. It was mathematics. He struggles with it because he tries to hurry. Plus, his penmanship is sorely lacking. We’ll keep working on it, though. We agreed to get pajamas on early so we could spend the last half hour playing a game. We chose Chicken or the Egg. At 8:30pm we headed up for bed. I was expecting at least a little push back but didn’t get any. They both went right to sleep. Hmmm?

Mindy must have gotten home around 9:30pm. By then, I was dosing on & off watching some of the ESPN Thursday Night college football. We hung out for a short burst of time before heading to bed. It was 10pm when we turned off the lights. Mindy cited being totally exhausted.
