Feast of Saint Casimir

My sleep pattern has been out of sync ever since our return from the Pacific Northwest. I’m sure that it has something to do with the three-hour time swing. But interestingly enough, I am getting tired much earlier and subsequently waking earlier even though logic says it should be the other way. Add to this dysfunction our moving ahead an additional hour this coming weekend and I should really be a mess.

I rolled out of bed around 5:25am and was fully engaged into my routine by 5:32am. I was looking forward to trying out my shoulder after the ten day reprieve from push-ups and curls. I was pleased to be able to jump right back on the horse, whipping out 50push-ups like nothing. I did, however, notice a little stiffness and perhaps a little less range peak to bottom, but figure that’ll fix itself in a couple of days. The curls went well too. The initial shock brought a shot of dull pain but that dissipated almost as soon as it came. I let out a sigh of relief afterwards, feeling whole once more.

Ykraps and I left for our walk against a clear back drop. I took notice of the amount of darkness/lightness. It was 5:45am, which will be 6:45am a week from now. Looks like my run will once again be shrouded in darkness. My guess is that by the first week of April I will be thrust back into the daylight.

After my first cup of coffee I turned and delivered Mindy’s. I then retreated to the downstairs where I enjoyed 15 minutes of meditation. As I prepped for my run I decided that I would employ my MP3 player. I chose to listen to the first CD of my latest audio book, The Third Jesus. My grasp of the concepts presented was much deeper this second go-round.

My run went incredibly quick. I was back in what seemed like and instant. Mindy had my breakfast ready for consumption. She & Bella headed out around 7:20am. Jacob played Wii & Playstation while I showered. We walked to the bus stop all the while the Trooper warmed in the drive. Jacob’s bus driver was back today. She’d been out for a week or so. Pat & I chatted for several minutes before I headed back home to fetch my warm chariot.

Work was pleasant. I worked straight through never stopping for a break of any significance. I didn’t get out of the office until just after 5:30pm. Word on the street was that we were expecting yet another winter storm beginning tomorrow. And just as one might expect, the story was getting lots of airtime and hype. Mindy promised hodge-podge for dinner – leftovers. We had tacos, pork roast, steak, Au gratin potatoes, and pizza. I had two soft shelled tacos and some pizza. It was yummy.

Over the course of the evening, I decided to skip any alcohol. Instead, I enjoyed plenty of water. I spent more time tinkering with my router and Mindy’s new laptop. I added more security features to my router hoping to keep hackers off my Internet connection. I tinkered all evening.
