Photo Oh-No
I woke right at 5:30am, almost as if my body was preprogrammed to get up at that time. Oh wait – it is! Actually, my Blackberry was setting on the PC table recharging and the chiming daily alarm woke me instantly. I hurried downstairs after brushing my teeth to quiet its annoying tune and to begin my day.
It was still quite cold as confirmed during my walk with Ykraps. It was a very clear morning sky with a sliver of a moon resting just west of due south at about 30 degrees above the horizon. The sky was filled with lots of lovely stars, too. Because of the early hour, Venus & Jupiter were not yet visible in the E-S/E sky.
Back inside I enjoyed my coffee and internet time. Once again I downloaded the Paint Shop Pro software from CNET. This morning it was transferring at 820kbps, a far cry faster than last evening when it locked up. After taking Mindy her coffee I tried installing it once again (probably like try #10). Failure!
After meditation I readied for a run, bundling up warmly in anticipation of the cold. I was snug as a bug in a rug. The run went well. Once again, I was treated to the Venus/Jupiter star rise. Very lovely. After my run I returned home for some eggs. I was hungry.
During the daily family feeding frenzy Bella and Jacob had a little tussle – not sure over what exactly – Bella got sent to timeout where she shared much displeasure. Mindy calmed her shortly after she sent her away. She returned to the kitchen in a far better disposition. Soon Mindy & Bella were history.
Jacob lost Wii for the day after breaching our agreement the day before. He didn’t even ask to play. And as of yet, I don’t think he’d mentioned anything about his breaking the rules. We were early by a few minutes. But Jacob was already at the bottom of the steps shoes and coat on all ready to go. We headed to the bus stop. The bus pulled up earlier than usual. I, in turn, arrived at work a few minutes early even after spending a few more minutes after the bus came tinkering with my photo software.
I worked really hard Thursday. Once again, I didn’t stop for a break even though I could’ve used one. I didn’t leave for the day until 5:20pm. I didn’t bother phoning Mindy on my way home. However, I did talk with her around 4pm. She mentioned having spaghetti and meatballs for dinner. For a brief second I toyed with the idea of picking up a bottle of Jack on my way home but didn’t.
I arrived home. The kids and Mindy we seemingly in good spirits – Mindy generally is. I readied to walk Ykraps seconds after dropping my gear. Dinner smelt terrific. Mindy had just put the pasta on the stove. Our walk was a cold one.
Before dinner was served I spent more time trying to download my photo editing software. But again, another failed attempt. Mindy called me to dinner. The spaghetti and meatballs were delicious. By 6:15 we were wrapping up dinner and cleaning up the mess. Mindy had apparently informed the kids that they’d be cleaning the playroom after dinner. They didn’t want to but Mindy forced the issue. She helped. I finished the kitchen.
Mindy let me know that she needed to go to CVS for prescription drugs. Bella left with her. I returned to the PC trying more brilliant ideas for getting my software to stick. Still didn’t work.
I spent the remainder of my evening toying with that damn software. I really need to end this madness. We went to bed a little later.
