Where's the Rain?

It wasn’t nearly as easy to get up & out of bed as I had hoped. My war torn throat was proving to be a bona fide symptom of something larger. With little choice, I sucked it up and got busy with my daily routine. It was already after 6am. I slept later than I had planned.

After exercise, walking Ykraps, and having coffee, I got cracking on food prep. I made tuna casserole, a lettuceless salad, fruit, and nuts for lunch. I made two fried eggs for breakfast. I ate those on the deck after a little meditation. After I finished my breakfast I got busy watering the flowers front & back. I completed my watering fun by 7:35am and headed on up to the shower. I took Mindy some coffee and sat it next to the bed. She was still half asleep as I got started with my shower.

I preparation for work, I remembered to pack my clubs and shorts for Wednesday evening golf league. I arrived at work just after 810am. I had a number of voice messages and emails to review after my one day absence. It was a challenge to get caught up and still maintain a grip on the unfolding day. We had a staff meeting mid morning that carried on right up until lunch. I left for my run a tad late. It was close to 1pm when I left my office. It was very warm by the time I hit the trail – probably 90 degrees. It was quite humid too. Lucky for me, there was a nice breeze which took the edge of the otherwise stifling heat.

I had a most interesting meeting/encounter that I can’t go into here. I walked away feeling good about myself. I left the office for home around 5:30pm. I drove straight home but took the back way due to heavier than normal traffic on I-270. I must’ve arrived home close to 545pm. I decided not to water since the forecast called for a strong chance of showers both this evening, later tonight, and tomorrow. Mindy took the kids to church camp soon after I arrived home. She heated leftovers when she returned. We had pork chops and green bean casserole. It wasn’t long before Mindy left to pick-up the kids. I used the time to write blog entries. I was still writing when they returned and continued on while the kids readied for bed. I felt a little light headed and hoped to be in bed before 10pm. I took another dose of Delsym to silent my cough through the night.
