Damn Glad it's Friday

I slept till 5:45am. I was very pleased that Friday was finally upon us. It’s been a tough work week. It was difficult to distinguish the day from all the others. It was already warm and expected to be sunny & hot. I quietly went about preparing for my day trying hard not to wake the others.

I finished all of my prep as well as flower watering by 7:30am. I left for work somewhere near 8am. I took my pump receipt along with me believing that I’d stop at Home Depot on my way home, but I decided to stop on my way in instead since I drive right past it.
I went to the service counter and explained my dilemma and that Wendy had promised to refund the $33 difference in pricing form the internet. They questioned it for only seconds but eventually carried out her promise. With tax I got a $36 credit. Cool! Before leaving the store I picked up a female to female adapter for a garden hose to help facilitate my new watering project. I arrived to work around 8:45am.

Work required my extreme focus. We were hitting on all cylinders. I managed to stay afloat all day long. I left for my run a little early (about ten minutes) wanting to be the heat as much as possible. My run went well.

The afternoon went quickly. It wasn’t long before the day was done. I was happy to have the work week behind me, and I was very much looking forward to a very summery weekend. I stopped at Ohio Mulch to pick-up three bags of Absolute Black for one of the front flower beds where I had to remove lots of dead English Ivy. I was home by 6pm. Mindy wasn’t home. She was still out for dental appointments. After walking Ykraps I took a nap on the upper deck chaise lounger. Mindy must have arrived home near 6:30pm. I woke just as she returned.

We chatted for a few and briefly discussed our weekend plans. This was a kidless weekend, but we had lots going on still. The weekend plans included Barley’s tonight, a college graduation party tomorrow afternoon, my class reunion tomorrow evening, a Father’s Day event with Dad on Sunday, and hopefully some boating. We readied and left for Barley’s at 7:30pm.

Barley’s, as expected, was sparsely populated. We already knew the Imber’s wouldn’t be there. Jeremy & Courtney were there, however, as was Steve, Jersey, and Lee. I enjoyed a few beers while Mindy sipped a couple glasses of wine. Through the evening Bill Gray made a rare appearence as did Thad & Monica, Rick, and Renee. We hung out until midnight.

Once home I enjoyed a couple slices of Minelli’s pizza leftover from last Monday then went to bed.
