And There it Began

Up near 615am.

Partly cloudy cool 48 at run time. Only a high of 64 and breezy

Ran 4.1 miles

Worked from home early on then at the office for the lion's share of the day. Arrived near 10am.

Haircut at lunch. Long overdue.

Jacob had a soccer game beginning at 6pm. I remained at work until 540pm. Made no sense to drive home then right back. The plan was to meet Mindy and Bella at the game. I beat them there by 10-15 minutes.

I was very cold, especially after the sun dipped below the horizon. It was in the upper 50s but it felt like the low 40s to my blood. Almost mind numbing. Mindy went for the blankets from the Pilot at the game's half. I was so cold it gave me a headache that I couldn't shake. In hindsight, I think I had the touch of something coming on. Didn't feel 100% the rest of the work week.

I left the game with something like 8 minutes to go. It was tied 1-1 when I left. Ever since the coach moved Jacob to defense playing the rover position, his team has been much more competitive. Not a lot of goals given up. He's fast and deflects a lot of otherwise shots on goal.

Mindy asked that I put mashed potatoes on the microwave once at home. She'd already put what remained of Sunday's roast back in the crock-pot when she got home from school. I did just as she asked. She, Jacob and Bella got home about 20-25 minutes after me. By then I was changed into my comfy clothes which felt terrific.

The roast was as good or even better than it was Sunday. Yum-yum! By the time we finished dinner and clean-up it was 8pm. I was tired and wanted nothing more than to lounge on the sofa and that's exactly what I did. I watched a good portion of MNF - Steelers/Panthers. Took a Naproxen before bed. Had a dull, throbbing headache - one I felt brought on by the unusual chilly air at the soccer game.
