Glenn's Home

Up at 5:35am. Completed a round of exercises and then walked Ykraps. The weather was notable. It was cool and cloudy, very un-summer-like. The forecast was iffy relative to evening golf, but I was determined to play given half a chance. The morning went well, the run, breakfast & prep. Mindy asked me to have her up by 7:30am. Her, the kids, and my dad were planning a trip to Der Dutchman in Plain City for breakfast. My dad wasn’t expected until 8:30am. I left for work at 8:15am. Work was busy. We had our usual Wednesday staff meeting. The day flew by, thanks in part to an issue that consumed most of my attention. Luckily, I was still able to break away at 4:30pm to leave for golf. It was cloudy and cool but little, if any, chance for rain. I arrived at Split Rock at 5:10pm. Bob Boyard was there just before me. Bob Imber arrived a couple minutes later. I carted alone while the two Bob’s rode together. We tee’d off the front nine. My first drive with my new driver went a tad left but still well in play. I struggled to find my groove for most of the nine holes, but that’s how it is sometimes. I shot a 51. Ugh! We finished around 7:10pm. I phoned Mindy who reported sitting out on the deck with Dad, Glenn, and the kids. It seemed almost fall-like outdoors. I arrived home around 7:45pm. I was starving having eaten nothing more than a tub of nuts since breakfast. Mindy made a crockpot of chili of all things. But given the chilly weather, it hit the spot. I enjoyed two bowls. Just before dad departed, he offered to walk Ykraps while we did Cedar Point the following day. Good thing he offered. I forgot to make those arrangements. It was 9pm. Glenn and I enjoyed a beer from the deck. We had just one. We all were tired and needed to be up very early Thursday AM to be on the road by 7:30am. Mindy & I headed to bed at 10pm.
