Mimosa and the Vikings!

1) Champagne and OJ with breakfast 2) Bella in costume on our way to Gloria's (Mindy's mom's) We woke Sunday morning at almost 9am again. Because we slept so late, I was certain that Mindy wasn’t going to church. In fact, she stayed in bed long after I got up and got moving. She slept till almost 10am. I took my time since it was my day off. I coffee’d then readied for a run. I chose this time to stay in the subdivision. Upon my return I enjoyed a hot breakfast prepared by Mindy. To complement the eggs and fruit, I made us mimosa’s. We laughed as we taste tested the champagne we bought at Kroger on sale for $5.99. We could hardly tell any difference from the $70 bottle of Moet & Chandon we bought at our engagement celebration dinner in Oregon with Rina and Glenn. Marketing, I would suspect. I ended up having three of those puppies. Mindy had two. Before I knew it was NFL time. And today’s game featured the Vikings against the Bears. I was sure we could beat them. Sparing you the details, we couldn’t we lost despite holding them to a lowly 107 yards of offense and into 5 turnovers. Biggest problem was, we turned the ball over five times, too. And if that wasn’t enough, we allowed a punt and an interception to be returned for touchdowns. Boo! I yelled at the TV more than once. I don’t know that I’ve seen a poorer performance from my team since the Cincinnati game last September 18th. Before the final gun, we had to depart for Gloria’s for Sunday dinner. Learning the final score would have to wait but the outcome wasn’t in question. But just before leaving the house, Jacob and I carried up the 9ft artificial Xmas tree. We arrived at Gloria’s just after 4pm. Everyone was present for the first time in a long while. We had sloppy Joe’s, fried potatoes, and meatloaf. For dessert we had chocolate cake with chocolate icing on top and butter cream icing in the middle. I foolishly ate what amounted to three pieces. It tasted so good! I would pay later. We left for home around 6:45pm. Jacob and I walked Ykraps once home. Mindy got the kids ready for bed. I was not only stuffed, but also wired from too much sugar – just a terrible feeling! I laid around feeling wired through the night. I tried sleeping during the SNF game but couldn’t. I got up from bed around midnight because I couldn’t sleep. I laid on the couch with my mid going 100 mph hour almost all night.
