I leisurely crawled out of bed somewhere near 8:00am. Neither one of us were in a big hurry. I went about my exercise and walked Ykraps in a relatively short amount of time. All I really had planned was a morning run. That felt great! Mindy slept in until almost 10am, although the kids had her awake more than a couple of times.
I left for my run late by most definitions but then again, I had no where to be or no reason to clock watch. It was a great run. I could've run all day. I noticed as I ran by Raymond golf course that a couple of folks were out swinging 'em. Again ,the weather was milder than mild, and the week long outlook looks better with each passing day. By week's end we're expecting mid 50's and sunshine.
I returned for more coffee and playtime with Jacob. We spent the mid day playing football in the basement. I have to play on my knees which hurts like hell. We played for almost an hour. Meanwhile, upstairs, Mindy had reduced the out-of-control pile around our tree significantly by throwing out unnecessary toy boxes and such. We actually had a little wiggle room.
Mindy searched all of her Xmas shopping receipts for the Leapster and keyboard receipt hoping to return both on Wednesday. She found receipts for everything she'd bought over the past couple of months save for the keyboard. That one proved illusive! Later in the afternoon Gloria called to confirm her visit for later in the afternoon/evening. Mindy left to fetch her somewhere near 3:00pm. Ashley called, too, to let us know that her and Olivia would be visiting. She got a new digital camera for Xmas and wanted some help figuring out the functionality.
Gloria arrived around 3:30-4:00pm. We visited for a while, and then Mindy warmed leftovers from Xmas - ham, green beans, as well as other holiday goodies. During my evening Ykraps walk, Ash and Olivia arrived. When we returned from our walk, Gloria was holding Olivia. Very sweet! I went in and gave Ashley a hug.
We all visited for a while longer until Gloria asked Mindy to take her home. I'd guess that was near 6pm or so. Ashley stayed until about 7pm checking out Xmas pictures and eating some goodies. After she left we played a little more with the kids but then eventually put them to bed. They were in bed before 8pm.
We stayed up a couple hours longer, and once again, I enjoyed a few Jack and Cokes. I was feeling no pain by bedtime!
