I was up on time and downstairs preparing for the new work week by 5:35am. I was sad that the weekend was over but also looking forward, as I often do, to what the new week might bring.
I started my morning with calisthenics, a morning walk, and then some hot coffee. It was a carbon copy of most Monday mornings. As Mindy’s requested, I delivered her coffee bedside prior to any extra curricular activities I might engage in before running. After some surfing I donned my running attire along with my brand new ear grips for a brisk morning run.
I was back home for breakfast a little after 7am. Mindy simply had hot oil on the stove. I was expected to prepare my own eggs. That was fine with me. I fried them. She & Bella left. Jacob and I continued on as usual. A shower later we were preparing to head out the door. We left for the bus stop at 7:55am.
Off to work, I arrived around 8:20am. The day moved swiftly. At 1pm I drove to Home Depot to get my usual fix. I once again browsed electrical looking at circuit breakers and panel boxes, still unsure how I might proceed. I made no decisions either. I left empty handed. Before returning to work, I made a stop at Scioto Valley to look at vent-free gas fireplaces. I heard that they have a good selection. They had many to choose from including several electric versions. Expensive, though.
I worked until 5:15pm. I left work and headed for home. Mindy had dinner cooking when I arrived home. We were having a baked chicken, rice, and cheese concoction. I was very tasty. The kids and I wrestled on the family room floor after dinner. It’s now too dark to throw the football after work, not to mention after dinner.
The evening concluded with me textually updating my blog through Saturday, and then I tuned into Monday Night football. I went to bed early. It must’ve been 9:30pm.
