Work week resumes
I was up and down stairs by 5:40am. I finally felt really good upon waking. My sinuses were clear and my throat only a smidgeon dry – no cough. Wow! I forgot what it felt like to feel so well in the mornings. That’s what a month’s worth of cold symptoms will do.
I whipped through my exercise routine like nothing noting once again how good it felt to feel well! My walk with Ykraps went great too. We pee’d on everything in site. There were dozens of stars visible this morning although it wasn’t nearly as clear as the prior two prior mornings.
I did my usual food prep stuff and made it to the shower just before 7:15am. I was tempted to drive my BM’er to work but the weather, while clear now, was forecasted to take a turn for the worse very soon.
Work was just about like any other Wednesday except for a job fair we held in the morning and afternoon. I attended a staff meeting and went for a run in between. That ate the lion’s share of my day. I headed for home at a little after 5pm. Mindy had been to the old house to grab a few last minute items and to drop the kids off to Jim. We spent about an hour talking and having our dinner on the deck. We had fresh El Vaquero chips and salsa covered with leftover taco meat and cheese. We talked once again about how we might help facilitate Lindsey’s integration into reality. We can’t escape the one missing key and that’s being on one page with my ex, Kelly. Much of the consternation seems to be fueled by Kelly’s unwillingness to work together with us to create a plan and goals for Lindsey to achieve. She sometimes implies as much, but always rescinds or changes her story. This leaves Lindsey feeling helpless and hopeless. To Hilliary Clinton’s credit, it truly takes a village. I tried to contact Kelly in an effort to establish a meeting where we all three could sit down and strategize together but to no avail. I left a message with Ash to give to her mother and also a VM on her home phone. I’ll keep trying.
The kids returned at 7:06pm. They both greeted me quickly & kindly on the deck. After Jim left, we played for a short period of time before Mindy got them ready for bed. Incidentally, Mindy skipped choir practice again this week because she doesn’t trust me wit the kids any longer. J Not really. She’s been sick with a cold and only has half a voice.
I spent a few minutes updating my blog. I’ve gotten a little behind. We went to bed kind of early – at about 9:15pm.
